3, newborn and 10 year old stepson.

Stepson's mum is pregnant - there will be 11 years between them. A friend of mine's dad recently remarried and had another baby - 26 years between them!

I don't have any kids, but I'm 22, and my sisters and bother are 11, 9 and 4, so there's 18 years between me and the youngest! I was a surprise baby, the others were planned :)
  • My kids are as close as I could get them lol (Not planned that way) My son will be 6 July 13th and my daughter will be 5 July 5th. I also have my soon to be step daughter who will be 4 Feb 18th. =)

I have two daughters 21 years and 4 years. Yep, 17 year difference. It was quite a surprise, but I have to say the second one is soooo much better. Why? I have patience, we are established and it is easier the second time around. I can just enjoy her and everything she does. I think I also appreciate every minute she is little because I know how fast they grow up.

mine are 20 months and it is was very hard when they were small, I wish I would have waited in between, but I had a hard time getting pregnant in the first place. i think having an older child in the house with a little one would be alot of help. Atleast that is what I am thinking. Good luck to you
  • My kiddos are 15 months apart. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am! Hubby and I are all done!

Well, I have been in that same situation thinking I was only going to have the one child. Then when I was 37 yr old I was pregnant . What a surprise!! A 12 and a half yr difference in my two girls. I thought as difficult as it was for me to conceive I would never have my third child--but, to my SHOCK in 5 months I was pregnant again. Was it hard?? YES!! and there was such a difference in my children's personalities. My first child never had to worry about anything --but, last two--there was nothing they didn't try. When they were little I thought I will never live to see them grown. LOL..But, I did. and they are every one blessings--and keep me going when if it were just me--I would have just given up.

I have two 8 year olds. They are 9 months apart.

I adopted the youngest one first.

I am 46 and my sister is 66. She is like a second mother to me.

Well my children are 22 months apart. But, my mom had my youngest sister when I was a freshman in high school and my brother was a senior and we LOVED it! My mom also said that it was easier raising her because she had a lot of help. Hopefully this
perspective helps you feel better. Best wishes on your journey.
  • My husband and were very happy with our two teen age daughters (age 13 and 15) when we were surprised with number 3. Now I could not imagine my life without her. Yes, it was very different having another baby. It was almost like having an only child. She is now in college and I do not regret a thing.

If you have children what is the age of your children or what is the distance in years in between each child? I have a 10 year old and have not been able to get pregnant again since and I dont see it happening any time soon. The way I see it I only have about 8 years left before my child now, is grown and on to college and to think I would have to start all over when he is about 11 or 12 just doesnt sound like a good plan. My children would be 12 to 13 years apart.

I have an 18yr old, and 7 year old twins. I thought it was never going to happen for us either, then along came two!

I usually cringe at this question. However I'm proud to say I have a 21 yo, 18 yo and ......3 yo (all girls). My oldest daughter cried when she heard I was pregnant! I love being an older mum and the older girls adore their little sister. Yes it means I never have time for myself now when both older girls are now at uni, ho hum. But wouldnt' swap the cuddles, hugs and love miss 3yo gives us. p.s. she also keeps me young (at heart anyway ;))
