  • I have had bad knees since before I gained weight (curse you genetics!) and can't do squats or lunges. I prefere to swim or spend some time on the exercise bike. Good exercise but low impact on the joints. :-) There are also specific exercises to stregthen your knees so that may be beneficial to you.
  • I can understand your situation and all that, but on a side note, Can I borrow your husband? I swear I'll return him in good condition I promise :wink: My significant other is supportive but just doesn't seem to realize what a struggle this can be. Love him but he can be a bit clueless :tongue:
  • I'm 5'2" as well and I have at least 30 pounds to lose. I've always been built a little big. I know big boned is a cliche but its true for me. On the bright side, it wasn't as noticeable as I started gaining weight.
  • I work at a vat clinic and when I have to go develop radio graphs I stretch in the dark room. It isn't alot but I figure it is better than just sitting there :-)
  • Texan, but its pretty weak nowadays. It really comes out if I go to my folks or even talk to them over the phone though.

  • I'm of german and scottish descent so I once had a friend tell me the I must be good at drinking and marching. Also texan and start freezing when it hits 60. Woman driver and am physically incapable of driving in a straight line. :wink: I guess we all got our faults.
  • My family doesn't give me issues, but my significant other's family, who are hispanic, don't think it is natural to not have 2 tortillas at dinner. If I'm not hungry they ask me repeatedly if I wants something until I give in after awhile. I'm trying to get better at saying no and it seems like they are getting more used…
  • I chew gum and try to keep my hands busy doing something, such as knitting, counting cross stitch, etc.
  • I take a lot of vitamins, but I don't take them as a multivitamin. I take them on their own. I take Magnesium, a B vitamin complex, glucosamine with chondronium for my bad joints, fish oil (because I can't stand the smell of fish, so therefore I don't eat fish, and pre-natel (at my doctors suggestion.)
