Wow! Wow! I will be honest... I usually skim through most stories, but not yours. You are "real" and so is your message. You pushed through a time when a lot of people give up. I am currently going through it right now for over a month. You've inspired me! I don't even know you, but I am PROUD of YOU! Congrats for helping…

The only way to know for sure is to get a HRM and use it. FT4 is inexpensive and accurate. Then you will truly know your calorie burns.

Bump - Same here. Walking is painful and running has much less pain/nearly none. I get it... run instead of walk, but it's certainly weird that running hurts much less.

Do NOT do anything that you will not be able to do for the rest of your life. Shakes and all that other temporary fix stuff is a recipe to gain it all right back as soon as you stop using them. Also, I have no idea how anyone on here survives on 1200 calories a day... make smarter choices, measure your food, eat and…

Add me too! I am on everyday and have lost 30 lbs in just over 3 months

As you've heard already... calories in, calories out. You must have a deficit to lose. It's good that your eating cleaner foods, however those do have calories so if you want to lose your have to track what your eating. Good luck and congrats on making good changes!

Pretty amazing! Congrats! You've done a great job!

You can create your own exercise in MFP. That's what I would suggest and I personally do myself. If your looking to accurately count the calorie burn, I would not use MFP burns, but rather get a HRM (Like the Polar FT4) to track your burns accurately.

Definitely the gym. At home it's too easy not to do it or not to work out hard. At the gym I know I am there for a purpose and I make real good use of that time. I feel much better after I work out at the gym than I ever did with a at home workout.

You are AMAZING!! Congrats!! You look fantastic!!

Definitely increase your intake... you are probably eating too little and have your goals set for 2 lbs per week. I am 5 7 and weigh 217 and I am set at 1900. Eating 1200 a day would make me exhausted too. Good luck.

Machines do have HRM. Everyone is different and that's why wearing a HRM will absolutely be the closest to accurate you will get when it comes to calorie burn. I wear one each day I workout and I often look at my HRM and at the machines calculation on burn and the elliptical/treadmill/bike are always nearly twice what my…

I used to feel the way you do. I started running in the gym on the treadmill. I don't run the whole time.. I can't yet due to how high my heart rate goes, so I run for a few minutes then walk for a few. Here's what I know... I've only been going to the gym for about 2 months and usually what I think isn't even close to…

Oikos Vanilla and add your own fruit when you want.

The 5:2 diet is two days of a reduced calorie intake. On 2 days a week (you pick) you only eat 500 calories. The other 5 days you eat regularly... preferably making good choices. The two days at 500 create the deficit needed for weight loss. I've done it before and it does work.

Got really tired looking in the mirror and finding it difficult to do things simple things like just bending over. I want to feel proud of my body. Also, I got a little tired of people blaming my heart disease on what I eat. Even my Dr tells me that for my age it is not even close to normal to see issues and blockages like…

Looking back just a few days you've been over on carbs each day. I know for me, carbs are not friendly for me when trying to lose weight. I would suggest trying a low carb approach and try to eat more natural products. I know some say, "a calorie is a calorie" but for some of us it's not. If I ate take-out, overly…

I found this interesting and since then I eat regular butter... Pass The Butter .. Please. This is interesting . .. . Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out…
