  • I'm 5'3" and 190lb, so i'm certainly NOT a body builder. Honestly if I work out 2x a week it's a good week! I work as a therapist, which means i'm at my desk or otherwise sitting all day. And to be honest the idea of eating that much meat and eggs in a day makes me gag! The website I used was at IIFYM dot com Is there a…
  • uhh....i like lamp?
  • BUMP!!! this is an awesome way to get a chinese food fix without all the foolishness!
  • I got it at Giant (I live in the DC metro). I think that brand is also sold at CVS. But you can also get a big container of protein powder at target (again, i usually go generic). happy shakin :-D
  • i had a smoothie this morning for breakfast! 8 oz 1%milk 6 oz plain greek yogurt 3/4-1 c fresh strawberries 1 scoop Careone vanilla whey protein powder (yes, it's a generic brand :-) ) Place in tall container & use blending wand to mix up. Yields about 16oz of smoothie and is 373 calories. Of course less yogurt & less milk…
  • i just had a late nite snack/grazing episode :-/ maybe i should join too!
  • spinning = www.thebomb.com/fanfreakintabulous One thing i miss about not havin a gym membership is the spinning classes. they are a great cardio workout, not too bad on the knees and exhilarating (with the right instructor). The only thing i didn't like is how sore my booty was during the first week of adjusting to the…
  • skinny jeans are my new bffs! i've had luck at target finding jeans. jc penny's a.n.a. line also has nice denim. i'm sure bothwill have lots of sales comin up soon. you may also want to find out how much it wld cost to get the waist let out of jeans that fit your legs. muffin top = bane of my existence!
  • been dealin with runner's knee since BEFORE i started running. glucosamine chondroitin is good, as are other joint supplements. my personal favs are GNCs "sport" joint supplement and move free advanced (blue box). also you do need to build the muscle around the knees to help with the pain. make sure you listen to your body…
  • hyponatremia is a real condition. but so long as you are eating regularly you should be fine. hyponatremia usually happens when you drink too much water and cause a severe drop in sodium in your body.
  • Thanks for the link!
  • i should be calling my 3:30 that now showed...AGAIN!!! and preparing for a 4:30 intake.
  • such as?
  • i've heard this a lot, esp when i tell ppl how much i want to lose. back in feb 11 i was 5' 3" and 200lbs i FELT like a whale, but nobody seemed to think my goal of losing 50lbs was "necessary." now im down to about 180 and ppl still look at me like o.O when i say i have 40 more i'd like to lose. it really is all about how…
  • so uhhh....from where EXACTLY did your uterus fall out? the process sounds painful. but seein as how you only have two places where somethin could possibly "fall" out your body i'm a bit curious. more importantly, did you stop running and freak out as soon as it happened or did you keep it gangsta and finish?
  • you = SUPER HOTTIE!! very inspirational, awesome, phenomenal, amazing, spectactular!!
  • I highly recommend Chobani Champions greek yogurt. Altho marketed for kids, it's perfect! Perfect serving size, less sugar than regular but still sweet, fewer carbs too. They only make two flavors (honey/banana, mixed berry) but as a person who doesn't eat/like bananas the honey-nana flavor is DE-LISH! And the berry is…
  • Oh I forgot to add that she may not really be ready to do something yet. Part of the conversation I previously mentioned should include you asking her if SHE finds it helpful when you make suggestions, or does she just want you to listen to her frustrations and feel supported & loved by you. Everyone travels through the…
  • It may be necessary to directly address the issue. Of course make sure you do it in a very nonconfrontational way. It would be best to do it in the moment versus bringing it up out of the blue. If she talks about food/weight loss that much i'm sure your next opportunity will be right around the corner! here's a sample…
  • bump diddy bump bump! i JUST remembered today that 've had a crock pot sittin on top of my cabinets for almost a year now and have NEVER used it! lol
  • about $10mil. i have about 1/4 mil in educational loans to pay off. after that i'd live off 5 and use the rest to build some real wealth. that or i'd take the full 10 stash it in the caymans and buy a new identity so uncle sam cld keep his hands OUT of my pocket!
  • Just do a search of 30DS forums and you'll see a GANG of mfpers are in LOVE with this dvd. its an intense work out, and while you may not lose much weight, you will lose inches for sure!
  • ^THIS!!! you ate 1/8 of a slice of toast? somebody was bein a lil piggy this morning huh? ANNNNNND you waved it over some peanut butter? not sure how you plan to lose ANYTHING with such indulgent eating habits!! but seriously, you'd probably be better off spending the money on hcg drs visits on a personal trainer. you…
  • *disclaimer: please don't read any emotions (or alternative interpretations) into the following. i'm simply stating what i think, as it applies to me. i am not being rude, snippy or defensive* mine is private because i'm not interested in sharing. while i am here for support, that doesn't mean i have to share everything.…
  • i'd recommend going to see a dr. to check it out. it could be a minor injury and you'll need to rest another week to let it heal. or it cld be something like runner's knee where basically the patella of your knee doesn't track properly and grinds against the cartilge of your knee. your pain sounds like mine and i've had to…
  • i can vouch for jillian michael's 30DS, No More Trouble Zones & Yoga Meltdown. You may want to increase the weight of your handweights though, unless your band has a lot of resistance. I've found that for certain exercises I can handle a lot more weight. A 3, 5, 8 lb set is good to start with. Women's Fitness magazine also…
  • I forgot to add i'm running a 10mile race in october. my goal for the race is just to finishn (seriously, i just wanna survive this thing!). training has been so-so, and my stamina isn't where it shld be so this next 4 weeks is gonna be critical, with training AND nutrition. i'm starting to get nervous bc i can't believe…
  • i usually give myself a 2 week "recovery period" after a week of vacation/partying/conferences. during that time i don't measure anything, nor do i weigh myself. this gives me enough time to get back track without getting bummed out by the scale. just try to eat as well as possible and HAVE FUN!
  • another 2.95 from this morning's run. ticker updated :-)
