I love the runners high

I have a cheat evening every Friday because I have a very long drive home. I stop off at the services every Friday and grab a KFC and a couple of redbulls to keep me going. Even though I was in lifestyle-change-mode I was still having the full meal (zinger burger, 2 hot wings, fries and coke) but then I thought "If I eat a…

I went Christmas shopping in Macy's last year and it was AMAZING! even there they did tend to have mostly X-large but I could find of what I wanted. I think I should go again to re-stock my wardrobe

I'm about 5 miles from there so don't know anything closer I'm afraid. With the trains you can get anywhere pretty easily. They may not be on time  but it does beat every other mode of transport. Try google maps for your searching, it shows you how close it is and people give reviews of the places they stay so you…

Well done, you look great! :flowerforyou:

Much MUCH harder to lose the last because your body absolutely does not want to get rid of it in case it needs it. First 30lb was pretty easy, the last 10 was a real struggle BUT well worth it as it does make a BIG difference

Good luck!! :flowerforyou:

Muller light toffee yogurt. That always fixes any sweet tooth craving. Someone posted that they are the only one who doesn't miss chocolate.... you're not, come me in too

My worst was a long time ago. We had moved from London to the south west UK and for 3 years I had no McDonald's because the closest was now 120 miles away instead of half a mile away. So...three years...I pass my driving test.... guess what happened? Took my brother with me and we drove 120 miles... here it comes…

I eat some but it is so difficult to know exactly what you've burnt I play safe. On this site it says I've burnt 800 but my heart rate monitor says 400. I'm too scared to eat them all when the figures are so wide

Nice topic! For me it is watching what I eat but also to be able to turn down that double quarter pound burger for a jacket potato as I did last week. Never had that willpower before. It is also the time I spend in the gym. Working out is now a really important part of my day and is my stress reliever. My confidence is now…

You probably need to YO-YO everything because it does work for a lot of people (me included) What's Yo Yo'ing? It's really mixing up everything. For your daily calorie intake eat your recommended one day, go 200 or 300 over the next and then go under again. Keep your body guessing about your food intake so it can't store…

Well done you! :flowerforyou: (note: I still can't say outright "well done for being such a loser... it just sounds SO wrong  )

Yes it was... I bow down to such an amazing effort! :flowerforyou:

I always have a banana afterward and it seems to do the trick for my body.

The very best thing you can do is invest in a heart rate monitor. The exercise calories on here could say 800 but my heart rate monitor would say 400...that's a big difference. If possible don't go cheap and make sure you get one with a chest strap because the results without one are pretty inaccurate. I have a polar HRM…

That is why I love this site so much. It is only when you have the facts about what you ate staring you in the face you realise that meal just isn't worth it. I always associate food with gym; every time I fancy a bar of chocolate that's 10 minutes running on a treadmill, zinger burger from KFC? That's 50 minutes hard…

I have a photo ID card for work and it was taken last year when I was 45lb heavier. Anytime I don't feel like going to the gym or tucking into some junk food I just look at it and say to myself "Do you really won't to go back to THAT!" I treat the gym as my anti-stress for the day. I stick on my fav music and just…

I most certainly miss knowing exactly what size I was and being able to walk into any shop and just simply pick up X-Large. It is really difficult for a man to buy 30" trousers when 99% of the racks contains 34" to 42". All the way down my loss I've been able to go in and just buy the next size down. Now I have to pop back…

It is incredible how much we learn about ourselves once we start this journey. I have loved every moment (well...except the plateau  ) and I'm also amazed how I don't miss anything I used to eat...even chocolate! :noway:

For me it was being able to keep the diary secret was prime reason I was so honest with myself. I think if I had opened it up to friends or everyone I wouldn't have been so honest. I was in shock when I saw just how badly I had been eating and how over I was going every day. Even when I thought I was eating healthy it was…

The last ten are Soooooo hard because your body fights like mad to keep it on. It took going to the gym 6 times a week and eating so carefully to even get 1/2lb a week to budge. I saw a before and after post today from someone who lost a huge amount of weight and I just sat back in amazement at that level of achievement,…

I'm excited for you  How much longer do you have to wait? The waiting would seriously drive me mad hehe

No more loss, very happy where I am. I have done very little weights so was doing about 90% cardio. I'm now going to do a bit of a switch so I can tone up a bit more. I like the blood test idea, maybe that will keep them quiet. They know that my blood pressure is FINALLY bang on where it should be (after 6 years of being…

I love my new legs with absolutely zero fat anywhere so I know how you feel

All Chinese takeaway food...

Drinks: Costa Coffee Cappuccino Red Bull Foods Bread Chinese takeaway Beer battered onion rings I'm still in shock that chocolate isn't on my list even though I used to eat 3 or 4 bars a DAY!

I can lose a couple of pound in weight after exercise because I work hard so sweat hard. A couple of drinks of water later and I'm back again. I weigh myself usually Sunday AM or Monday AM depending on which day before was my rest day (I always have one rest day a week). If I weigh myself when my body is most at rest I…

I was a chef for a few years so mine are weird :) Mint Sauce sandwiches or just neat...love it :) Grill Sea Bass coated in Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce and Nando's hot sauce (yup together!) 2 Egg omlette mixed with milk and BBQ sauce; yum yum Brown Sauce all over a roast dinner (I'm not allowed at home dinners but it's lovely…

Another thing that scared me about rapid weight loss was folding skin from losing it too fast. Let's face it we all want to lose it so when we look in the mirror we feel good. If you go for the rapid weight loss you could end up like this:
