For those that met your goal

I am 15-20 pounds from my goal, I have lost 50 (have gained a couple back). For those of you who made it to your goal, how did you get the motivation to keep going? The main problem I am having is that I like the way I look right now.....with my clothes on. Off is anther story, I can see the areas that I need to work on and that I do still need to lose some, but on an everyday basis and when I look in the mirror, I no longer see or feel like that fat girl that is in desperate need of a change.

I desperately want to lose these last pounds, but when I get home from work I just don't feel like working out. I tried the morning thing for a while but slowly lost the motivation to get out of bed to go. Yesterday I worked all day and then did not get home from class until almost 9, I was tired and hungry so I just picked up taco bell. I'll do great for a few days and then I'll blow it. I've even tried taking a few days off, thinking that would restore my desire to get back on track but it only works for a few days and then i'm off again.

I'm getting married in 5 months, I like how I look in my dress but I know I could look better. I am also afraid that if I am slacking this bad now to get the rest of the weight off, that I will have even more trouble later not putting it all back on. Any advice?

    I have a photo ID card for work and it was taken last year when I was 45lb heavier. Anytime I don't feel like going to the gym or tucking into some junk food I just look at it and say to myself "Do you really won't to go back to THAT!" :sick:

    I treat the gym as my anti-stress for the day. I stick on my fav music and just go for it. I always, ALWAYS feel so much better once I've been to the gym I just keep reminding myself of that high and it makes me want to keep going :smile:

    Hi,

    I was in the same boat as you. When I reached my last 10 lbs, they were hard to get because I was liking what I was seeing dressed. I ended up looking at how far I've come and to stop for the last 10 lbs, I fell it would be a big mistake so I decided to beat the bullet and get through them. I paid extra care to what I was eating and I was motivating myself that it was only for 10 lbs. For the exercise, I had to make that a part of my life as this is how I will be able to maintain the weight lost. Unfortunately I also had a tendancy to slack a bit on the execise, but I told myself that I can do the stairs, and no excuses not to go for walk at lunch time daily. I eventually lost the last 10 lbs and since then the motivation is even higher than before. I've worked hard to loose all that weight and definitely promised myself that I will do a good job at keeping it off by being careful at what I eat and by not reverting in a couch potato. I have given up all the clothes that didn't fit me anymore so I have no backup plan and CANNOT gain weight back but most of all, i like how I look and how I feel in general. This weight loss has done more than shedding the pounds for me; it has brought back my self confidence in general...     Thank you, that's a good tip. I'd like to put a picture of my wedding dress on the fridge, but my fiance can't see it. Maybe I'll put a picture of me at my heaviest on the fridge as a deterant.
