Have you always exercised regularly? Or is this a relatively new thing for you? I would focus on one program or the other. I know it's exciting starting a new exercise plan, and you have big dreams of leading an active and healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life-but more often than not, this leads to failure. Most…

At work. We were just friends at first, I was going through a break up. He gave me his number "in case I ever wanted to talk"....so smooth. I text him that night- not about my break-up, but Biggest Loser and the crazy cast that season. LOL We love that show. We've been together for 4 years, built a house together, and we…

Reading that would only put doubt/questions in people's minds, who are otherwise in strong, healthy relationships. Why is it, that when someone makes a healthy lifestyle change, its automatically associated with negative motivations? I want to be as fit as possible because I want to look and feel sexy--for my boyfriend! I…

Woo hoo! Good job!

Say for example, your caloric goal is 1,200 calories per day. If you burn 200 calories exercising, you will have allowed yourself an additional 200 calories to consume. By burning 200 calories through exercise, that would bring your net calories down to only 1,000. Your NET calories still need to be maintained during the…

I've been making a chunky guacamole lately..with red onion, sliced grape tomatoes, lime juice, garlic and a few other spices and using one scoop as salad dressing. It's amazing!

I did HCG for a week and couldn't take it. There is no way that eating 500 calories a day is good for you, I don't care what they say. The drops are expensive and the thought of forcing hormones in my body just isn't right. I don't care if 30 pounds come off in 30 days- I'd rather keep my muscle mass and be happy eating…

I always wear something to cover my ears (they hurt when its really cold out) and gloves (Nike makes some really good gloves especially for running..you may want to check them out).

I have a few stretch marks from my pregnancy. I don't see it as that big of a deal and my boyfriend doesn't either. If he did, he'd most certainly get an earful! He KNOWS not to go there!

Welcome! Add me if you like! I'm in my early-to-mid twenties...but nevertheless feel like I may have hit a premature "slump". Always nice to have motivating friends on MFP!

Do you use a digital scale? If not, I would definitely go out and get one. I always weight myself first thing in the morning, after using the restroom. That way I haven't eaten or drank anything. This is the best way to get your (true weight).

Hey SpicyPepper! Congrats on your pregnancy! So exciting! My doctor told me when I was pregnant that I could continue doing everything that I had been because it was a routine and my body was used to it. That being said, I was also 21 at the time, so I would definitely speak with your doctor regarding your exercise routine…

Do you contribute to your household- either financially or around the house? I'm sure the answer is YES to either both or one of those at least. I'd say screw it, and GO SHOPPING!! You deserve it! Way to go with your weight loss!

Not to take away from the thread, but I'd like to call your attention to perhaps one of the most mind-sticking kids show theme songs. Forget "This is the song that never ends"....I'm talking about BACKYARDIGANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!! Make it stop!!!!
-
OH! I forgot one- maybe the WORST ONE.....The Upside Down Show. Really? Its just not right.......not right at all.

Almost any show on NickJr. Unfortunately, my son loves it. If I had to pick one (or four) these would be it: 1. Fresh Beat Band (just watch 2 minutes and you'll know why) 2. Wonder Pets (this is seewious!) 3. Yo Gabba Gabba (I find this show really freaky more than annoying) 4. Bubble Guppies (what the heck is that even…

Thanks everyone for all the amazing suggestions and links to fantastic websites! I can't wait to go grocery shopping!

The biggest challenge for me is my boyfriend. He lives an anti-paleo lifestyle. Basically everything a normal person shouldn't eat, he eats. (And he somehow stays incredibly slim and in shape) Maybe I will divide up the pantry and make a "His and Her's" side. LOL

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! That made me laugh out loud, in my cube, when everyone around me was in absolute silence! Bwa ha ha!!!!!!!

The reason you need to eat back those calories you burned while exercising is because if there is too much of a caloric deficit, your body will lose muscle mass. You may lose poundage this way, however, your body will not look "tight" or "firm" because there won't be any muscle. -ALSO, the 1200 calorie/day to lose 2 pounds…

Who cares? If you got, flaunt it. If not, do it anyway if that's what floats your boat!

I'm having the opposite problem..I'm having a hard time meeting my 1200 cals a day goal....I eat breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner, sometimes after dinner snack. I also workout most days and hardly ever net unless I eat something really high in fat and calories for one of my meals. I know I'm…

Absolutely! I'm so hooked! My friend Tori is doing the raw food diet. I'm not interested in that extreme, but I do want to keep eating like I have been. I used to feel so bogged down around 2:30 that I would need a soda or something, but now that I'm doing this, I don't get slumps like that anymore. Well- nothing that some…

You can do it!! Take a deep breath and remember that it probably took a long time to put on the weight, and it will take even more time to get it off. You've never heard someone say "I regret losing weight and looking fabulous", but you will regret giving up. Think of this as one of the greatest adventures you will ever go…

Great job!!!!!! That's awesome!!!!!!

Oh did I savor...I deliberately broke it into pieces and ate them one by one until is was gone!
