Hello, I'm looking for friends who are also into eating whole foods and avoiding processed foods. I use a jawbone UP to track activity and my food diary is public. I have about 75 pounds to lose this time! Send me an invite! :)

I'm currently using the Garden of Life Raw Meal because it was on sale when I went to the store to pick up some Vega One. The Raw Meal is pretty grainy. It definitely tastes healthy but I mix it in a vitamix with coconut milk and force it down every morning instead of coffee. I think the Vega One definitely tastes better,…

You're awesome! Haha that's what I was thinking too!

As a vegetarian, it's hard to get enough protein for me to meet my weight loss goals. I've recently started including whey protein for breakfast, and I do a serving of plain Greek yogurt mid-morning, and then either raw yogurt cheese or a serving of cottage cheese in the afternoon. So I'm at about 3 servings a day and I…

Ugh I almost forgot about the time change! I should be working from home right now but I'm on here instead...

I work Saturday's, so I never really get a "weekend"...I guess it's my "Friday night" but I really have no intention of going out until I'm hot again. It's kinda lonely when you're trying to get healthy.
-
Haha...I thought of that too. A good first date would be a work-out!
-
Awesome! That's great to hear. I was feeling it 12 hours after my workout though...does that mean my metabolism is working now? haha

I totally can relate! I think part of it has to do with being 100% happy and satisfied alone...then the right person comes along because you are not "trying" to find them. It takes some soul searching to really assess where you are at and if you're in the right place to be open to a relationship.

I need to find a man who appreciates my professional success and realizes that I am a badass! I think it's awesome when a woman can go out into the world, make something of themselves, be successful and then eventually choose to stay at home. That is what I ultimately want to do, but it's hard to find a man who isn't…

Thanks! I didn't think of the muscles being pumped up under the layer of fat! I am drinking protein shakes post work-out but Crossfit is a total body workout every time, I am taking a day of rest in between workout days...I think I just need to get used to it.
-
Hahahaha...I'm successful, independent, smart and I do need a manslave/personal trainer/chef! I have a big empty house too...I'm taking applications ;)

It's funny, today I was thinking that I used to spend so much time on dating sites and going on bad dates...then suddenly I found this site, have been eating well, losing weight and just working on me. I just started Crossfit and that made me realize that until I reach my physical goals, I have no business dating. It's…

Try Stevia as a natural alternative to Splenda.

Thanks for the feedback! I am so sore, just working out every other day but even when I'm not working out, during the day I feel like I'm burning calories. Like today, just walking around at work I was kinda sweating because my muscles are still fatigued from my workout last night. I hope you're right about the…

Sexy! I have a bald head fetish...especially freshly shaved bald heads! haha

I'm the same and I just started Crossfit, so Iift 3 times a week.

I use Vega One because it is primarily raw and has probiotics and greens as well as protein. Yeah, it would be fine with soy. I personally avoid soy, but I've mixed it with almond milk and coconut milk!

Hello! Just being conscious of what you are consuming and logging here will help so much! As far as the lifestyle vs diet, I found this channel on youtube and she was really the person who motivated me to make the change. Check her out and we have a group here but not too many followers yet.…

I have read that all carbs are not created equally...as in eat more complex carbs and try to minimize consumption of highly processed carbs. Have you tried eating something with around the same calories as a bagel and cream cheese but maybe less processed? For me I do best with a plant based protein supplement shake with a…

How do you take an omelet to work and store it until you are ready to eat it?
-
I like making whole foods, bean salads that I can eat cold. I take greek yogurt for a pre-lunch snack. This is what I'm going to try for lunches the next few days. http://vegetarian.about.com/od/sidevegetabledishes/r/southwestsalad.htm

hahahaha So glad she is gone! What a trainwreck!

Thanks! This looks better than the recipe I have and today at work I was thinking of recipes using chocolate protein powder!

Cheese bread with pizza sauce...haven't caved in yet and possibly planning it as a cheat meal...but then I think i will want more!
-
I'm following it with the exception of soy milk in my coffee almost every single day...I'm trying to talk the coffe shop at work into carrying coconut milk just for me! haha I don't know about a challenge, I was thinking if we got enough people together, we could have some kind of contest...

You're welcome! It is easier finding healthy and natural products in cities like Portland...I'm in Spokane, WA now and it seems like people just aren't as health conscious. Over the years I have found my favorite go to products. Let me know if you try any of these things and what you think!

I haven't tried it, but Brenda is always talking about it! I use Vega One, which is plant based and mostly raw ingredients. I haven't compared it to the Jay Robb protein powder.
