I'm in!

I agree with this! You could blow all the hard work you put in throughout the week with that one day of eating whatever you want. Find replacements for the guilty pleasures you enjoy. A guilty pleasure of mine would be fast food (especially when I'm in a rush). I rarely eat fast food now but when I do, I go to McDonalds…

Thanks kaynagel! I am following a recommended training schedule for the half marathon. And have been trying to eat healthy foods throughout the day but am still hungry most of the time. I do realize I don't drink enough water so I'll try to pick that up. Thanks for the advice!

I have been eating multiple healthy snacks throughout the day and 3-4 small meals. I think stepping up my vegetable intake is a good idea - it can be hard though, because I'm a really picky eater. :( Thank you for the great advice! And I'm glad to know others go through the same thing.

No worries! Thanks for the input! I'll try anything at this point! Thanks again!

Dead post? :(

Enough with the lectures. If it works for you (and you're maintaining a healthy level of calories), get it girl! Frankly, I'm impressed. Keep up the good work! Personally, I take 2 days off and generally eat all my exercise calories back because I'm starving (I'm training for a half marathon and for some reason that has…

5 mile jog and then a walk with my dog. :)

You seem to have some good ideas for work outs already (wii fit, walking/jogging with your dog, and the fitness dvds). I would try to find some reliable work out buddies to do these activities with. There are going to be days that you come home and feel too tired or lazy to work out. A good work out buddy will hold you…

I have several different work out buddies and I schedule different activities each week so that I am FORCED to work out 5-6 days a week. I say forced because I am always exhausted when I get home from work and probably would not work out as often without this system. Two of my buddies are so reliable that I can always…

I am at a healthy bmi but I still have a good amount of excess baggage around my mid-section that I have been trying really hard to get rid off. I mentioned in another post that I have a really small frame so an extra 10 lbs is very noticeable on me. I read that as I get closer to my goal I'll have to work more on gaining…

Thank you! That does make sense that it takes more work (calories) to move a heavier object (person) and I think I will start looking at their exercise logs, provided they're open. And thank you littlebetty but since I have such a tiny frame and I am apple shaped (all of my fat is on my stomach) I feel like I need to work…

I am in the exact same situation...add a pound or two. I'm 126.5 and want to be 117. I'm 5'3" as well. It took me 2 months to lose the 15 pounds I use to have and now the scale won't budge. Hopefully someone offers some good advice!

I've been looking for a team to join!!!! Add me please! :) And just like everyone else, I'd like to know what the challenge consists of. :) Thank you!

I am a stress eater too! I have found that I have 2 options when I'm getting overwhelmed and all I want to do is eat. Option 1: give in (bad choice!). Option 2: work out, even if it is for 10 minutes (good choice!!!!). Usually if I sweat it out I won't be in the mood to eat, unnecessarily, when I'm done. Runs work the best…

I don't have a source for that but I can say that I have heard that same statement from a nutritionist a few years back. What this lady told me is that people should drink water no less than 30 minutes before eating and some amount (I don't remember that length of time) after eating. Her reasoning was because of the…

Is it possible that you are gaining muscle from all of these activities? Since muscle weighs more than fat you could be losing a good amount of fat and therefore be smaller but not be losing any weight. That happened to me after joining a boot camp class. I didn't lose any weight for awhile (like a couple months) but I did…
