Def go get fitted! I'm Asics GT2000's and I love them. Before that I had Keyanos I didn't love but are also a great shoe. Trial and Error!
-
5.25 miles in so far! I was sick for 6 days so I've got some catching up to do! 44.75 to go!
-
Even though I'm late... can I still play? I want to do 50 miles!! I can't complain about cold though... it was 80 here yesterday :)

I weigh daily and record it. Just so i can see my normal daily fluctuations and how food/certain times of the month/life effects me. As long as my graph has a downward angle I'm good.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! Shoes are on the top of the list!

I'm doing the "26.2 with Donna" In Jax, FL. But just the half marathon portion. They should change the name  What about you? I've never seen sports beans but haven't really looked for them either. I do love the gatorage chews.... soo good. Beans are next on my list to try now. Thanks!

That's on my list! I have Gel Keyano's right now that I'm not crazy about, but they were just an amazon purchase with no proper fitting done. I do LOVE my real flex but can't take them out for more than 3 miles without my hips killing me. I'm hoping to go get new shoes in the next two weeks.

Whoops... I should have made myself more clear. I have a total deficit of 500 calories, I net about 1700 per day. Phew. P.S... love your lab! I have a black and yellow :)

I'm running a 5k this weekend (first one in almost 2 years!) and have my first half marathon booked for 02/23/2013, the 26.2 (or 13.1 in my case) with Donna Deegan in Jax, FL! Nervous but excited!

Awesome job!! My coworkers wondered why I wouldn't eat the brownie stuffed cookies yesterday even though I had run that morning. I allowed myself 1/4 and backed away. It's hard but it is an amazing, empowering feeling! Keep it up!
-
awesome for you! I try not to put too much stock into BMI but I'm with you! I'm 25.1 and know I will feel so good when I finally get to 24.9 :)

I'm just starting to see the glory in NSV's! 1. I ran for 5 miles for the first time in my life... and only walked for 4 minutes out of the whole thing! 2. I took my measurements and in two weeks I've lost a combined 6.5 inches 3. A skirt that I wore two months ago that was skin tight is loose on me right now!

I actually was not hungry at all on the previous calorie amounts. I can eat fruits and vegetables all day long (happily) and it takes a ton of that to get to your daily intake allowance. Healthy foods are way hard to overeat on! I don't work out STRICTLY as reason to eat more, but when I really want a glass of wine or have…

I'm 6' and currently fluctuate between 185.5-187.5. My ultimate goal is 159! But that includes weight lifting and the assumed muscle mass I will build. If I was planning on strictly losing and not gaining muscle I would want to be 149. I did just find out I have a small frame thanks to the website/wrist test someone posted…

Awesome work!!! I have my first half coming up in February and you definitly just got me excited for it!
-
Awesome for you!! I'm hoping my husbands doctor will encourage him a little bit more than he has been, too!

What type of "not-so-reputable" companies are you talking about? Mom and Pop type treats? But to answer your question, no. I don't worry about that at all. If I'm trying my hardest to lose weight and count calories I can't take on something else to fret about or else I would make myself crazy.
-
My scale will change by 5 pounds in 10 seconds. I probably weigh myself like 10 times and hope with all my might it will keep getting lower and lower. Totally changing the battery tonight!
-
HCG diet is ridiculous. You have such a major deficit in calories you are going to lose weight (in unhealthy ways) whether you take the HCG or not. HCG is a pregnancy hormone not a weight loss miracle.

Me, me, me! Ideal Goal: 18 Pounds or a size 8 Realistic Goal: 10 Pounds or a size 10 AND... I want to be able to run a 10k without stopping at all. CW: 187, 6 feet tall.

Thanks for the info! I'm actually not hungry very much, but that is totally due to the 100+ oz of water I make myself drink per day. I still have some acne and hirtuism but for the first time in my adult life I have a regular cycle. Every 32 days on the dot. I used to be on the pill, metformin xr, and a few other things…

I can see how we would fall into a trap of wanting to be our teen selves. As a teen I was about 135 though! haha!! I have no dreams of ever becoming that tiny again. I like having some womanly curves these days. I think 155-160 is my IDEAL place but I feel good anywhere below 173.
-
Hmm.. maybe you're right. I just need to back away from the scale and focus on the healthy-lifestyle factor. My scale is a giant brat.
-
Really? I feel like 155-160 is an ideal weight for me. I have a lot of fat to lose. But that makes me feel better.
-
ok, good! I am enjoying it... but just wanted to make sure I was doing this "right". haha! I've lost weight before and I remember losing about 4 pounds that first week. Since I"m almost double that I just needed to check and get some reassurance.
-
Yea. I really started about 2 weeks ago....
-
I also eat back my exercise calories.
