Lori, so sorry for your loss. Since you know exactly what you have to do, get out there and do it...for you and for him. Thank you for being open and honest about your struggles...you've inspired for me to get crackin' as I've been quite the slacker lately. I look forward to your updates in the days and weeks to come!

I feel your pain. Having to dress nicely for work everyday and proven to be quite the challenge recently. I've been able to get by with throwing a blazer on top of most of my dresses which helps to cover up how loose they are. I also use a lot of belts and pins to help get a more tailored appearance. I was so tired of…

So happy to read all of your NSVs. I've got a few of my own to throw out there... They include being able to cross my legs comfortably at my desk and elsewhere. I recently had a couple of weekend getaways and was able to walk all over the city and not turn into a sweaty mess. Saving money by not taking cabs was a bonus too.

I'm done from a 24/26/3x to a 18/20/1x in clothes. I still go for the larger sizes only to discover they are too big. I think it'll take some time for it to sink in.

You were beautiful before and your after is gorgeous too! LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress!

Yes! You are not alone!! I was a tight 24 and am comfortable in a 22 now but it's getting baggy. I just went to the store and bought a 20 in my favorite work pant so I'm ready when the time comes but I don't think it'll be for a while. Hang in there. It'll happen.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for all your encouragement and advice. I'm happy to report that the scale has finally moved and I'm down almost 2 lbs. I took your advice and looked at my diary and realized my protein and water numbers were low. I really made an effort to increase them and it seems to have worked! The only…

Congratulations on making good decisions!

Thanks so much for all the encouragement! As loribuckner1 said, "it's nice to know I'm not alone in the slow lane." After reading all of your comments, I took a look at my diary and realized that some of what i was eating was high in sodium and fat even though my overall calories was low. I'm going to try to change it up…

Thanks everyone for the wonderful suggestions. I've begun my research into local bike shops since there are many in my local area. I guess there is a part of me that is anxious to go in because of my weight and because I haven't ridden a bike in a long time.

Such thoughtful posts everyone. Thanks for your openness. It's helps to know I'm not alone in these thoughts.

I need to make note of these recommendations too !

I was sleeved last week. Feel free to add me!

Hi Rob, I thought it was weird too so I called my nutritionist to check on the protein. She said no protein until I'm on full liquids on Wednesday. I will be starting my protein shakes on Wednesdays along with cream soups and other clear liquids.

You look beautiful! Love the dress!

Thanks for the thorough post. Being 3 days post-op, I probably should set up a little savings account now to start saving up. LOL

You guys rock! Thanks for the encouragment. I've gone back and re-read this thread to remind myself that things will be looking up in no time. I'm 3 days post-op and I feel a lot better. I've also been able to get my fluids in so far. I keep telling myself that this rough patch is just a means to get to where I know I will…

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. Wow. The last two days were hard but I was finally able to come home today. For now, my sole focus is getting my fluids and walking in. I keep telling myself that things will become more normal in the next few weeks.
-
Oh man, I've heard about this happening and was hoping it wasn't the case. I'm always cold now...can't imagine being colder!

You guys rock!

Don't worry! It's totally normal. I went through the same thing. I'm on day 12 of my pre-op diet and the first two days was definitely hard and then I was ok for the next three days so much that I got a little cocky. However, it got really difficult last weekend and I felt like I wanted everything under the sun including…

Hi! Glad to hear that you're doing well. I'll be having surgery on Monday. Hopefully my recovery will be easy! Feel free to add me! -Devi

Hi Bonitadonita! Welcome!! Unfortunately, I'm just starting this journey and will have surgery this coming Monday so I have no real stories to share...yet! That being said, it's awesome that you've lost 115 pounds--that's truly amazing! It's great for a newbie like me to see someone that's been able to be do so well so…

JM1Fullerton, thanks for your post on this topic. I hope you're able to navigate through this bump! I'm just starting my journey and I've been thinking a lot about how I'm going to feel at a lower weight. I'm glad that many others have been working through these feelings as well. For me, most of my issue stems from the…
