  • You could always try to find some recipes and do "Chinese takeout" at home? At least for yourself, it would be much healthier.
  • I know exactly how you feel, it wasn't until I got my wedding pictures back that I realized how badly I had let myself go. I'm still not comfortable in my skin going out with groups of friends or doing anything social really. I would much rather hide away in my apartment where I know I won't get those judging looks.
  • When he does little things, like I was complaining about how it was cold on the phone when walking home from work (To get on the tube) and he met me at the station by our house with my jacket.
  • Boy do I feel you on the food. Whenever I go to my Mother in Law's and if she notices I've lost weight my plate has enough food on it for three people! *Face palm* But in times like those you just limit yourself to portion size and still enjoy yourself. Although who can turn down another slice of pecan pie? Certainly not I!
  • I feel your pain, there are lots of suggestions as to what to do in order to get over that plateu and move on with losing. Good luck!
  • Over easy, hard boiled, scrambled.. There isn't an egg I've met that I didn't like.
  • I have a can a day, but I make sure I can "Afford" it in my calories for the day. Its my one pleasure, and I've cut so much of it out of my diet that one can isn't going to make me curl up in a ball and cry.
  • Well it wouldn't be a huge problem to lower them today mainly because I'm at work so I won't have any opportunity to snack. And if I do it's the fruit I bring from home that I munch on and not crap from the store. I tend to under eat on days I work anyway since I can't be bothered to make a meal when I get home, so I…
  • Welcome, feel free to add me! I think we can all use as much encouragement as we can get :D
  • It happened to me yesterday, I've been eating like crazy but the weight is still dropping off. I'm not taking it as a sign that my 300 over eating calories should be done every day, but more like "you're doing the right thing, but you should stay on track."
  • Pool is defiantly the way to go to start with, its low impact but great for your body. Once you do that for a while you can move up to walking a few miles a day at a brisk pace and then maybe even cycling. I dislocated/sprained my knee a few years ago and getting on the eliptical was torture because if my knee got weak it…
  • This is going to sound a bit silly but instead of chocolate I make a cup of Vanilla Tea. It smells like cookies and it tastes like...well vanilla Tea. I totally trick my body into thinking that maybe we've had some cookies and its only like 15 calories with the sugar/milk.
  • As others have said, it is do-able but you're going to have to stick to your diet and exercise plan. I don't have a "Goal" time mainly because I know I'm going to have days when I just want nothing but carbs and sugar, mmmm sugar. So instead of saying "I have X amount of time to lose X amount of weight." I'm saying,…
  • God, don't you just hate those off handed comments that aren't meant to hurt but still do? I'm sorry but hey you've made progress right? The way I look at it is you've taken steps in the right direction to improving your health and your body image, and for that you should be proud.
  • Carrot sticks or Celery. Both are very low in calorie and the crunching (I find) is very satisfying.
  • You can always try a store like ASDA or Walmart (Whatever is the Holland equivalent) and get some sports bras for fairly cheap? They wont be the best fitting, but they will fit better than what you have now. I know you're pain, I spent easily 300£ stocking up on bras and now a year later I'm putting off going to buy more.…
  • your plan sounds great! You shouldn't have a problem at all with that.
  • A large banana has about 200-300 calories in it, which will give you a good boost. Yogurt might have some since it is milk based and its still healthy.
  • When you make one, copy the BBC Code which has the [ and not the < and then come to community and at the top it says "Signature" Click that and paste it in the box :)

  • Hello, welcome to MFP! What are your goals?
  • Might as well give it a shot. Age: 25 in 15 days Height: 5'3 Weight: 192.2 Goal: 130
  • Preach it, sister. I can not tell you how many times I've just been like "**** it, I want waffles" and then it leads to another week or two of eating nothing but crap that I shouldn't be eating. You've come to the right place, thats for sure. Good luck!
  • I'm 192.2 and 5'3. I have no idea what size I wear since I haven't bought pants in months. :p
  • I picked a goal that worked for my height and figured if I got there I'll see how I look. Because I have a wider body frame, I don't want to look emancipated.
  • I count the walk I do to work but that might be because it's still a challenge for me. (15 minutes up hill? Uh yeah, I've burned some calories.) I also include the walk down the hill. But thats because at the end of it I am out of breath and I am getting a work out. I don't count the walk to the shop, because I go a bit…
  • I understand money being tight, but you can buy a bag of frozen chicken breasts cheap, and frozen veggies are cheap as well. Its more expensive to eat lean cuisine every day than it is to throw a chicken breast in the oven, cook up some rice and steam some frozen veggies. The part thats expensive is the Fresh produce but…
  • 5'3 and going for 135lb. If I don't look freakishly strange with my body type I might try to go to 120lb.
  • Welcome and good luck to you :)
  • Park further away and walk faster than normal.
