  • I completely understand where you are at. I just lost my mom in December after a lengthy health battle that ended much quicker then anyone expected, The first thing is to realize that right now you don't have to "Eat right" I know a lot of people will disagree with this and I'm not saying just throw away all caution but…
  • I am not a mom of young ones, but lead a hectic life style working full time, and having two teenagers involved in band/guard activities all year.
  • Cucumber and laughing cow cheese yummo and savory snack with a crisp bite
  • I sleep like a baby after I do a late work out...and I regularly work out between 7 and 8. It is okay.
  • Craigslist and consignment stores for me! I can get name brand clothes at consignment stores for a fourth of what they will cost in a store! And goodwill if I wash them well! I try to wait till I am completely out of one size and almost into the size two below...ie out of a 16 and into a tighter 12 then I don't have to buy…
  • Been with my man for 8 years and he's only 5'8 I am 5'9. And yes I still wear heals and we enjoy life!
  • I always wanted anything with veggies real yummy homemade veggies...corn, green beans. Anything that wasn't slopped together. We also ate a lot of salads when I came home. I would say some comfort foods too like their favorite meals from childhood. I still make a lot of the meals my momma made when I was little that didn't…
  • This! I did this today! I peed before the pregnant woman at the office and had to pee again before she did! And ot only is she pregnant but she is due in just a few weeks!
  • My first thing I do is not eat every calories back! I put my exercise in and then make sure that my net calories are above 1200 just to be safe and leave it at that. Some days I do eat most of my calories back and some days I do good to get to 1201. I just go with it and don't sweat the small stuff.
  • And I had multiple clients and coworkers tell me I was losing weight. All in all a great week
  • At this moment in my life what am I not working on would be a better question. I have a hooded baby blanket in works for a cousins baby due in September. I have a granny square blanket in works for my son (it's been in works since like November...opps). I have a commitment to help keep a new great cousin in baby hats in…
  • I don't seem to ever have time anymore. I can barely fit in what I have to get done in one day let alone what i want to do. but I have a baby blanket, a bunch of hats, and a granny square blanket to finish asap!
  • My Trainer has me doing leg extensions to strengthen my knees. 20 lbs most to start with and doing 3 sets of 15. It's worked. Knee pain is way better
  • I have knee pain in my right leg from trauma experienced as a teen. The trainer I meet with every six weeks or so has me doing Leg Extensions with extremely low weight (I started at 10 lbs, then 20, now 25 lbs over a six week period). He has me doing this to build up the muscles around my knee to help me be able to support…
  • I lost 50 lbs last year not exercising. I won't lecture about why it is better to do it with incorporating exercising. But i did gain it all back when I did it that way.
  • The trainer at my gym says to use Cardio or Fat burning and not worry about the rest all the time. Obviously if you are training for something specific then that would be important. But he said just general weight loss will be fine with those. That's actually what he says he does now that he's out of the army. Just hits…
  • I wouldn't say I am afraid to miss a day, but I don't like it. I feel icky if i am not up and moving. The last two weeks have sucked as i have barely made it to the gym at all. But I keep at it and try to watch the calories no matter what.
  • A parent is the person who doesn't sleep at night because a child was coughing, and you were up trying to help her stop. A parent is the person who puts their child's needs ahead of their own. A parent is the person who goes to events and makes sure the child gets there on time and is prepared. A parent is the person who…
  • I def think hiding the food that you turn too will help. I Have done the same or my pain. I don't allow myself to buy the things I will pig out on, I may have a bad day but at least there isn't a gallon of ice cream to eat. I just eat small things now when I feel poorly
  • I would say I have noticed a difference he's trying to be a little more healthy. He will eat my salads with me and making a bigger effort to eat the veggies I cook. But I don't let my calorie counting affect my date or dinner time with him. If I go over by a little it is better to be over and have enjoyed my company then…
  • This is a topic I can discuss. I have no joint cushion or cartilidge in my right ankle. I am in pain aislmost everyday. What I.have done is two.fold first go do something at the gym when I hurt walk light weights just something. Second I allow myself to feed the pain when its bad I just feed it differently...before it…
  • i agree with the others give it time. When I first started in January it was hard because I didn't seem to make progress, but now I almost always have some sort of weight loss.

  • I don't have any specific information about this but I know my treadmill counts calories and it jumps up a lot more when I do an incline then when I walk flat.
  • I truly love PF! I am not a gym person haven't ever been. But I love it there. Yea they have the pizza and bagel and candy which just makes me shake my head, but if that is what gets you to the gym then so be it. I have to agree with the other comments about check it out first...we have two PF's close to me...and depending…
  • I try to eat those forbidden fruits once in awhile just so i don't have such a horrible reaction when I am backed into a corner and that is all there is. But I eat much smaller portions (I can't tell you the last time I had a double cheeseburger). I do a single patty cheeseburger, a small fry, a small regular soda here and…
  • What I do is follow the machine. It calculated by age, weight, and intensity of level. I just don't eat back every calorie. If I work out i make sure I reach at least my goal for the day and maybe 100 or 150 calories (which equates to an extra snack). It's worked and I don't sweat the small stuff.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker by Title....Home based therapist working with family's with Child protective Services involvement by what I actually do!.
  • I love the elliptical but like you struggled at first to get past 5 minutes then 7 minutes. Then once I could do 10 minutes it seemed to flow to 30 minutes pretty easily. I do 30 minutes on just cardio days and do the "fat burning" or "cardio burning" programs that keep my heart rate between 121 and 141 depending on which…
  • I always take something I can eat and not feel guilty. We do a sibling dinner get together with his family once a month and I love them but they all eat really bad foods and lots of it....think banana pudding is a pretty safe food...well not the way she makes it! Anyway I always take a salad or something similar that I…
  • Count everything. I had a huge disagreement recently with a family member about this issue. If it's calories it counts. And it works.
