  • Thanks for reaching out everyone... I have sent friend requests to those are not yet friends. It is hard to exercise in the summer months here. I have been going for walks with my family every morning before it gets too hot. Having the family come as well is a great support to help get out of bed !
  • Hi I've just joined MFP again. Used it a few years back to lose 10 kilos. Need to do the same again. Saw your post as i searched for people in Dubai. A 10 kilo loss in 2 months is a bit severe.... I think it would be wiser to do it over 4 months.
  • Hi I am also back here... Lost 10 kilos 3 years ago. Kept it off for 1.5 years but a move to Dubai has seen it creep back on again. Would love some new friends - my old ones have become inactive. I will cheer you on.... Let's do this !
  • Hi I am back here... Lost 10 kilos 3 years ago. Kept it off for 1.5 years but a move to Dubai has seen it creep back on again. When I committed to MFP last time I was very strict with it. Would love some new friends - my old ones have become inactive. Let's do this !

  • I usually rest and let my body get better first.
  • Hi everyone I did the 30DS with my wife about 3 months ago and got to level 2 - i guess i was doing it on average about 4-5 times a week. I have just started again and am on day 3 today. This time around I want to be more consistant. I find it a really good workout to provide general toning and to keep my body supple. It…
  • Hi there I posted a very similar forum article 4 months ago when I started my journey on MFP. I had lots of helpful advice on that thread - which can be found here; http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/261889-help-please-low-cal-foods-that-make-you-feel-full?hl=foods+to+feel+full#posts-3460271 Many people have mentioned…
  • Hi everyone... I signed up for this challenge at the start of the month but unfortunately my work became very busy and I have had trouble to find time to visit MFP. I have two young sons in my life as well - so they also come in before spending time online. Having a bit of time today - i have come back to this thread and…
  • My own philosophy for this is to Go loud and Go proud... I am at the same stage as you - where clothes are too big for me now. I am going to enjoy pushing everyone of them into the clothes recycling bin. I will even take a photo to record this great achievement. I definitely dont want to go back to the size i was and i now…
  • We can help to advise you and to inspire you - but at the end of the day - you need to be the one to help yourself. Joining this site is a fantastic start - well done ! I agree that kicking the junk food would be a great start. There is a reason that Junk food is called that you know. Ask yourself - does that food taste as…
  • Hi everyone... My name is Sandy and I am a 46 yo aussie living in HK. I have been on a plateau for the past 3-4 weeks - so this challenge might be a good way to get the scales moving again.... I have signed up for level 5 commitment and I think the hardest two things for me will be - No alcohol. - No eating 2 hours before…
  • I have fallen in love... with my new body !!!! Nope - Ive just made great friends on this site so far.
  • Are you talking pounds or kilograms ???
  • I had issues with severe depression in my 20's. I always found that exercise was one of the best ways to cope with it. Whether or not you continue with weight loss - i would advise you to continue with exercise. Hope you pull through ok... Keep strong... Keep believing...
  • I am also in a plateau at the moment - my weight has been the same for the past 2-3 weeks. However - this is normal in most peoples weight loss journey - and i dont mind it as i am noticing so many other Non Scale Victories (NSV's) such as body shape changes, added endurance, new self confidence, strength, enjoyment of…
  • BUMP........ I just hate that word..... .
  • Well - i live in Asia so i get a whole host of crazy stuff on my plate at times. - Balut: a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled alive and eaten in the shell. - turtle hotpot (which the live turtle put into the boiling water at the table) - bulls penis (duh !! Didnt realise what it was till someone told me later) - plus…
  • So I guess you have your answer by now !! Not wanting to threadjack - but i couldnt help noticing that AFLANE and SKWILSON have both recently reached 100 pounds lost. Thats really inspirational !! Well done to the both of you.
  • Hi Jackie... and fellow aussies. Im Sandy - an Aussie guy living in Hong Kong. Im pretty new to MFP - today was my 45th day - so about 1.5 months into it. I am happy to join your challenge - but i have to confess that I actually really love logging my food and exercise into the site. I love logging the food because as this…
  • Gyms and I just dont seem to get on. Ive joined a few times - even one that was next to work - but it never seemed to work. Since I joined MFP - What motivated me (initially) to exercise was so I could eat more food ! I was really committed to keeping under my calorie goal - and if i didnt exercise i was feeling hungry. So…
  • I would reflect on whether the Boyfriend said this comment in passing or if he was trying to be malicious. If he was being malicious then it probably is a good idea to put him on notice. If it was an off the cuff comment - you should try to understand that often Men are just not very good at being diplomatic sometimes -…

  • My vote would be to recycle them..... You need to be positive about where you are heading... If you get pregnant - come back on this forum and ask for other peoples success give aways !!
  • The recommended weight loss on this site is one pound per week. Why not reset your goal so it is not so uncomfortable for yourself. It would be easier to achieve then. Another aspect to try is to do some light exercise every day. Even just walking will burn calories and allow you to eat more. Instead of sitting around…
  • It is the sweet fruits that have the higher calorie counts like apples and bananas. Try switching to carrots or celery they are much lower in calories.
  • I felt the same way at the start of my MFP journey and did a search of the forum. There was a thread where someone had a similar problem and it turned out that they were not eating enough carbs to energise their daily activity. I looked back at my food diary and noticed that I also was not eating close to my carb target. I…
  • Brilliant stuff ! Im sure you are looking better for your efforts as well !
  • Not sure where you got that nugget of information from. Certainly by eating tofu - it doesnt feel fatty. According to wikipedia "Tofu is relatively high in protein, about 10.7% for firm tofu and 5.3% for soft "silken" tofu with about 5% and 2% fat[40] respectively as a percentage of weight"
  • That sounds interesting. What sort of "stuff" do you use ? Mustard ? Fresh Herbs ?
