Hi
I'll try to help if I can. Add me as a friend and send me a message with the foods that you do like to eat. I am a very fussy eater myself and would happily live on junk food, chocolate and crisps if I could.
Don't worry you're not alone!!0 -
um...don't eat junk food at school? That'd probz help0

How fast do you want to lose? Do you just want to loose by eating better, or are you up for excersising as well?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you cant skip that meal under any circumstances.
Whats worked for me previously is eating between 1800-1200 calories a day, training 3-5 hours a day, eating three meals a day, 4 hours apart, drinking a lot of water, avoiding alcohol and eating as little carbs as possible.
But thats me. Depending on how fast you want to loose, you just adjust your meals. You say you eat a lot of junkfood so why dont you start by skipping that, trying to eat healthy instead. Anything else you know is not helping your cause also needs to go bye bye. Give it at least 6 months and you dont have to keep an eye on what you eat all the time, just dont eat bad 7 days of the week.0 -
Start by eliminating overly processed foods AND sugar from your diet; you don't have to do it all at once if that sounds too hard, but take 1-2 things out each week, I know you mentioned eating junk food at school, so maybe you could start there. Turn instead to LEAN PROTEINS , like chicken breast, egg whites, lean ground turkey, lean cuts of beef (93% lean or more), low-fat dairy, and the like, HEALTHY FATS, like natural nut butters (almond, cashew, peanut, etc.), avocado, and olive oil, WHOLE GRAINS AND COMPLEX CARBS, such as oatmeal, bran, whole-wheat or grainy breads, whole-grain pasta, sweet potatoes and brown rice, and assorted FRUITS AND VEGGIES.
Also, make sure to stay hydrated by taking in at least 8-10 glasses of water a day, and incorporate exercise into your weekly routine if you aren't already. I know you mentioned you're going to try Tae Bo 3 times a week, and that sounds like a great start, but I would also incorporate 2-3 days of weight a week in there, and maybe a couple of days of doing a different form of cardio that Tae Bo classes to keep your body guessing.
I hope that this helps!! Feel free to add me if you like, and good luck0 -
Lol. It is NOT necessary to eat breakfast. There is mo proof behind it. If you dont like breakfast then dont eat it :]
Try to bring some lower calorie snacks instead of eating junk at school. Will definitely help ya! Just stick to what mfp has set up for you. Have to be consistent and you will succeed.
As for exercise the Tae bo was a good choice! If you feel it isnt enough try jogging/walking or working out in your school gym0 -

I get that you can still lose weight without eating breakfast, but it's actually pretty important to do so, and you will probably see better results this way than if you skip breakfast. Eating when you wake up helps elevate your metabolic rate for the day and keeps your body from turning to your muscle mass for fuel; you deplete your muscle glycogen when you're sleeping so you should definitely replenish it at the start of your days withing an hour to an hour-and-a-half of rising.0 -
We can help to advise you and to inspire you - but at the end of the day - you need to be the one to help yourself.
Joining this site is a fantastic start - well done !
I agree that kicking the junk food would be a great start.
There is a reason that Junk food is called that you know.
Ask yourself - does that food taste as good as my new body will feel ???
For breakfast - try oatmeal (porridge) with blueberries - yummo - low cal - good energy
best of luck to you..
go for it !!!!0 -

I don't want to lose weight in a specific time... i just want to lose it it doesn't matter is it 3 or 6 months..0

I won't argue that there's one universal way for everyone to do things, SUNSHINE_88, but any nutrition course you take will explain to you that when you don't eat for long periods of time (such as the 8 hours that some of us sleep for), you body does turn to its muscle tissue for energy, even before it turns to your fat stores. I'm sticking by what I said, and I still believe breakfast to be important. I won't advise you not to do what you feel is best for you though!0

Good to be patient :] Just log everything that you eat, stay with in your calorie goal and you will do fine. Try to eat healthy when you can :]
If you have any questions about nutrition feel free to ask me :] I am a junior at my university, a dietetics major :]0 -

Well actually I am a nutrition major. Have taken multiple nutrition courses. Which is why I argue my points :] The longer you are on here you will see incredibly lean people who do not eat until late afternoon. But to each their own right? IF is not for everyone, I just stick up for it!
Good luck to you0 -
Intermittent fasting is not the same as skipping breakfast, there are several differnet theorys about how to best work with intermittent fasting as a tool for weightloss. Most studies ive read suggest you fast for 10-16 hours after your last meal somewhere around 6 8 a clock wich still makes it possible for you to eat breakfast. Enough with the highjacking of the thread, want to talk the importance of breakfast or intermittent fasting, start a new discussion.0

I know that its not the same. Thats kind of obvious. I am just saying that breakfast does not jump start your metabolism. There is no science behind it. Making a point that the OP does not have to eat breakfast if she would not like and that article has some good studies to back it up. Unlike your advice.
ill highjack the thread if I please. And while I do that maybe you would like to take a few nutrition courses. I see your bull **** bandwagon posts often.

I'm totally backing Sunshine on this one.
Regardless of "hijacked" or not, I've had about enough broscience around this place.

Bring in your own food, make a sandwich...it's not that hard to not eat hot dogs every day0
