No. The number on the scale isn't everything.

You got it! Welcome back!

Literally everything I know about food, calories, portion control.... EveryTHING!

I agree with the allocating of calories.... For some reason, I am just NOT hungry in the mornings so I eat what I can, but that saves me a lot of calories for my late night snack after work. I normally get home around 10 from work and I get hungry, so I save calories throughout the day. I also agree with changing the…

Also from skinnytaste.com ... her chicken avocado soup! OH EM GEE, I make this all the time! So quick and easy!

I take (thawed) chicken breast, roll them in bread crumbs, salt and pepper, lay them in a sprayed glass baking dish and top with broccoli and jack/cheddar cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes on 350! The chicken comes out SO JUICY!!!! You can also use mushrooms instead of broccoli, or even with it. I mix white cheese and cheddar…

Makes sense that you are scared. I think a lot of people grew up believing that less is more and that's the only way to lose weight, but that's not true! Our body is like a machine.. let's say, a car... and that car needs gas, aka food. I tried the 1200 calories a day thing when I first started... made sense. I was hungry…

This. You don't need to lose weight quickly to take on this journey. Baby steps! You have to make small changes, every day towards your goal. Don't just try and be super perfect woman on Monday.. because by Friday, that will die! Live a normal life and start today by going on a walk and don't eat candy. Then next week, go…

This. It's what makes up your calories. If all you ate was bread products all day, up to your goal of 1500 calories, your day would be 90-100% carbs! Same with fat and protein. It's the pie chart on MFP that's divided up into the three. Before I started watching this, I looked at my pie charts for a few days prior and saw…

This. I learned everything I know from this site... especially all the crock pot recipes!

I think that all depends on you and if you're going to keep eating crazy and go back to the gym. Stop trying to lose weight FAST! Try and lose weight HEALTHY and it will stay off, plus you'll be less likely to do that again!

1. Put on my yoga pants! 2. Either eat, or prepare what I'm eating next. 3. Get on my laptop to see MFP hahaha. 4. Do some sort of homework or study, ahhhhh!!!

Well this is awesome, congrats -- You made it! :drinker: I have not yet reached my ultimate goal but I definitely can see and feel the change. One of the biggest things is that I'm not tired as much anymore. I used to sleep a full 8 hours and then need an afternoon nap just to continue on with my day. I was also having an…

As long as it fits into my calories and macros, I'll have it... some of it. If you deprive yourself of everything 'bad', it is more likely for you to fail because you MISS IT. Moderation is key and if you occasionally indulge, you won't miss anything and won't fall back into bad habits, you'll learn new good ones! Such as…

Absolutely my sleeping has changed! The biggest change I notice was that the naps I used to take DAILY have disappeared. I fall asleep faster and just CANNOT lay in bed more than 9 hours (That extra hour is spent in bed talking to my boyfriend and playing on our phones in the morning though, lol.) If I ever stay up until…

5'9 here! Don't have 40 pounds to lose (ANYMORE!), but I have about 20 pounds to lose and much more strength to gain!

Oh I've been there. I decided to learn how to cook and we RARELY eat out because I'm constantly providing and preparing us with healthy and good food. It DOES take time and prep though! I know our lives get super busy with work and school, etc, so it took me a while to get the hang of it. I started with simple recipes and…

What do you mean almost?! Definitely a success. Keep it up!

Bump! Awesome info, I wake up in the morning STARVING, but will definitely try these suggestions!

I imagine my reaction all the time. The first time I decides I'm ready to go in a bathing suit, or seeing myself in a mirror and finally realizing what I've accomplished... I imagine myself bursting into tears of joy. Awesome!
