Great topic and great responses here! Would someone be able to critique my current routine below? I've been doing a lot of different variations, but this is what I feel (for the most part) has been working. I'm thinking of elevating a bit more but this is how it stands right now. Also, I work out Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun and…

Simple Answer is YES, as long as you stay below your daily caloric limit, you will lose weight. You'll get a lot of complex answers about high protein, high fat, high carbs, etc. - but to sum it all up...having a 200 to 300 daily deficit will lead to weight loss.

This is such a timeless topic where you'll get both sides of the arguement giving their thoughts - both are valid of course from the perspective of how they interpret the fat vs. muscle stance, but I think you always have to consider how this ultimately affects YOU - forget everything else because at the end of the day,…

Glad to hear i'm not alone on this! =) I try to limit myself to maybe 10 to 15 Eggs per week. I know that even though the yolk in the egg is still considered "Good" Cholesterol, it still kinda scares me when I look at my daily diary and it has a big fat -450 Chol left for the day (yikes) While we're on the subject, does…

I think it really just goes back to self-discipline, and (as corny and as cliche as this sounds) - you have to keep that determination and you would have to WANT to stay on that path. Trust me, it only gets better once you get back on that horse. Use us!!! We're here to motivate each other...

About 6 years ago, I was at my lightest (at the time)...I was right around 185 lbs - this is obviously relative since at one point, I weighed almost 230 lbs so this is definitely a milestone. Then I got engaged the first time...at this point, I pretty much let myself go because I was, I guess in a sense "rebelling" against…

Great point!!! I know that it's not about me, however, i would like to point out that my weight loss program has definitely included a good number of carbs (rice, noodles, bread) since these are great sources of retained daily energy. Plus, a healthy combination of both carbs and fiber makes you feel full throughout the…

I wanted to know if this is really true. I'm a 33-yr-old male and my daily caloric intake (according to the site) is 1590/day. I try to load up on protein and carbs during the day, and have something really tiny at night. I normally am a little hungry, but not to the point where I feel famished or extremely starved. I am…

Believe it or not, i've lost 12 lbs just by keeping my calorie count down and watching the amount of fat that I consume. My perfect balance of lunch bag food is a balance of steamed rice, some kind of lunch meat (I prefer baked or grilled chicken), and a fruit (a nice sized banana or orange does the trick). You'll get a…
