My exercises are always logged automatically, just started logging food again as I am trying the Primal diet and want to track carbs especially at least for a while, after that I will be pretty set with what carbs I'm eating so won't really need to as long as the scale keeping dropping.

I have a smoothie every morning after my bike ride. 250ml frozen fruit (1 cup) 1/3 banana, 1/3 strawberries, 1/3 blueberries or raspberries or combo. I top my "magic bullet" up with another cup of milk then protean powder (vanilla or chocolate) and blend. 415 calories and 35g carbs, within the Primal Diet parameters. Hint:…

If I don't do a workout at 5am there is always an excuse to not to work out in the evening.

Forgot to add, Cyclemeter even updates MyFitnessPal for you!

Yes, what they said. The most accurate way is to monitor your heart rate with a device like an iPhone. I use an iPhone with Cyclemeter and either a Wahoo or Polar bluetooth heart rate monitor. You add your personal info and it will calculate the burn and keep track for you.

Two weeks ago I lost 5, then 2 pounds last week. I'm on a 24 day challenge. I cut out weekday booze, crappy carbs and am under 2000 calories a day. I worked out 5 times that week riding a bike at a good pace for about an hour each time (800+ calories). I worked out 6 times last week, 5 bike rides like before and a 50…

I have been riding steady for a little over 2 years, lucky enough to live some place I can ride year 'round! This month so far:

Jet lag had me biking today at 3:30am................

Bang for the buck and fun also would be a kettlebell. Look up a few videos on youtube.

I almost always have a morning workout before breakfast, just try to eat something good within an hour afterwards so your body doesn't consume muscle for food.

A couple of assumptions: you have the age and weight correctly set in the watch? What was your minimum and maximum heart rate during the exercise session? My calories burned can vary depending on intensity of workout but average about 11 calories a minute when I'm in the groove to 9 calories a minute when I'm struggling. I…

My Polar F6 just died after many years of service so I hit ebay and got a new POLAR RS300XSD for $91 but it hasn't arrived yet. Careful if you are using gym cardio equipment and you want to see your heartrate on the display, some watches do not sync, Polar does.

My HRM shows the calories burned during my weight circuits to be equal or actually more than my cardio workout. A HRM seems to be the way to go.

Carbs can definitely be sneaky, a lot of advertised "healthy" food will cut out fat but load up on carbs. The two things I love but rarely eat now is rice and corn. Had to eat a few cobbs of corn in season though and as a fan of Thai and Indian food without rice it's just not the same! If I ever get the urge for sweat…

The skirt would have to lose 5 inches and the neckline plunge 9 before it was 'slutty'!

if your school has a gym.. run up the stairs, run down the stairs, for about 1-2 mins, take a slow lap around the gym. repeat.

Don't worry about it until he starts to look like he eats that stuff. Healthier for your marriage.

Don't know the ratio but lots more women than men. But who wants to hang around a bunch of fat, sweaty men anyway? ;-)

Oh, and heading to Australia next month! Lot's of opportunities my friends tell me, I can report back.

I've lived in: Oman Turkey Egypt Kuwait Syria Chad Yemen Thailand Indonesia Brunei I've visited about 40 more, and truly loved my experiences. Whether you can do this type of lifestyle depends on you, can you adapt and realize you aren't…

I lift harder and feel better with a two day break in training muscle groups. Minimum is one day, what does the Monday workout feel like with that two day break? If you want, try to concentrate on body groups alternating days, that is maybe upper body on Monday and Friday, then lower body Wednesday. Alternate weeks so the…

You're welcome (for sure)!

Wow! You are a doodlebugger at heart! (a complement).

Just watched Fat Head, thanks for the suggestion!

Carry on only. If I'm flying domestic I don't bother with the quart baggies, I just pack my shower kit in the check in luggage. If they lose it I can replace easily. I make sure the hotel I book has a decent fitness room or a Bally's close. As an old doodlebugger we had a simple checklist. 1. passport 2. credit cards.…

He made a mistake but you admit it is not totally his fault, why? And you moved to another State with your kids to "take a break"? Infidelity is terrible and very painful to go through, but running away doesn't help anything. It takes two people making an effort to make a relationship work, not two people NOT trying to…
