  • My face!! I lost my double chin right away. Then my upper waist and my arms. Still working on the tummy/thighs and my boobs haven't shrunk at all unfortunately! :(
  • Other than the obvious (fridge/stove/etc.) I really love my Ninja blender, my rice cooker and my vegetable spiralizer!
  • LOVE your hair! So pretty. :)
  • I prefer to work out in tighter gear. Usually 3/4 length compression pants (love Old Navy active wear) and a long tank that isn't going to end up around my ears if we have to do handstand push-ups or something that day.
  • In Canada, the only brand I've found at the grocery store is Bob's Red Mill, but it's a huge bag and it lasts forever. I use it to make "cheezy" dairy-free sauces and I also sprinkle it on eggs, popcorn, veggies, pasta, pizza etc. I use it as a crumb coating too (it makes the best chicken strips!) It has a really distinct…
  • I've done several Paleo "challenges" where I eat strict Paleo for a month and I usually eat about 80% paleo every day. I've had great results. I always lose weight, my digestive issues work themselves out, I feel like I have more energy, and my skin clears up. However, it's challenging to get that many greens/lean proteins…
  • You can update the exercise on MPF, or you can try syncing your fitbit again or you can log the calories manually on the fitbit dashboard (On the Fitbit main page select "log" from the top menu then select "Activities" and scroll down until you find the "Log Activities" widget.)…
  • My go-to breakfast is 1 egg and 1/4 cup of egg whites scrambled and 1/3 of a cup of oats cooked with 1/3 cup almond milk and 1/3 cup water (microwave on high for two minutes) add 1/3 cup of fruit stirred in and 1 TBSP of natural peanut butter. Oats and eggs are my fave breakfast for sure! :D
  • I honestly haven't stepped a foot into a fast food restaurant in well over a year (Unless you could Starbucks & Tim Hortons for coffee) I used to eat a lot of Subway but then i read some article about how gross the meat was and I've also cut out gluten so that's not an option for me. Honestly, I find that a lot of things I…
  • I'm a Garmin fan for sure. I have the 305 which isn't made anymore but the newer Garmins are much sleeker and do everything you want. They're an investment but I've had mine for three years, I use it all the time and I've never had a single problem with it. I love them! I also see lots of people wearing polar fitness…
  • My gym offered an adventure athletes class specifically for training for these! I did a Spartan and a Mud Hero. I'm definitely doing them again, so fun! Definitely do your cardio, but don't just do steady state. Do intervals with sprints and slower pace running and practice running hills etc. Also incorporate total body…
  • I loveee spices. I'd have to say it's a tie between garlic, cinnamon and curry for me. I put garlic on everything savory basically, cinnamon in anything sweet I make (inluding smoothies) and I love to make curried stirfrys when I meal prep!
  • Google some chicken marinade recipes and cook them for a couple minutes less than you usually do. Use a meat thermometer. Remember that food continues to cook AFTER you take it off the grill. :)
  • We nutrition plan for vegans/vegetarians all the time. Your diet just needs to naturally consist of more carbs and fat and less protein. Don't stress about going over the carb count because your body has to get the calories from somewhere so in your case it would have to be carbs or fat. The MPF numbers are simply a…
  • Your macro (protein/carb/fat) breakdown is based on the number of calories and percentages of each macro of those calories. Since you are a vegetarian, your percentage of protein would be less than likely recommended my MPF so you can add the extra calories from protein into carbs or fat. Low starch diets work well for…
  • You should be okay! I was above weight when I started! I've lost 50 lbs total and my skin shrunk up just fine! It depends on your skin elasticity I suppose, but at long as you're losing weight in a healthy way at a healthy pace you should be just fine! :)
  • Homeland is super good! The Office, Lost, Parks & Rec, Workaholics, Pretty Little Liars, Psych.
  • My weight fluctuates by up to 6lbs randomly throughout the week. It's a combo of hormones, what you're eating, when you're eating it, when you last bowel movement was (TMI - I know), how much water you've had, how much sodium you've had, etc. My trainer has me weighing myself every day so I'm starting to understand my…
  • Movie Theatre popcorn. :( Also, the Moxie's white chocolate brownie has 1200+ calories!
  • I never really ate pop or cereal, so those were never an issue for me. However, since following my nutrition plan I've discovered I'm sensitive to wheat and dairy (ie. My tummy doesn't like me when I eat them and I get bloated for several days) so I cut out dairy and wheat completely and I really don't miss it at all…
  • My goal weight is 140, which is the mid-range for "normal" BMI for that height. Plus, I work out hard 7 days a week and have a lot of muscle so my trainer and I have decided that 140 is a healthy goal weight for me.
  • I've lost 30 lbs and six sizes. I get lots of nice comments about how I look or how fit I am etc, but I've also had some weird ones: - "Are you anorexic? You need to eat more." -"It's weird that you're getting so small but your boobs are still so big?" -"I could never lose weight like you do, I like having a life, not…
  • Do you have a history of panic attacks or anxiety? Raising your heart rate and becoming out of breath may be occasionally manifesting as an emotional attack to your body.
  • I have a Green Mountain Limited Edition Eggonog flavour that I've been hoarding since Christmas. It's definitely my favorite! I also really like the Jet Fuel K-cups.
  • Maybe make a smoothie? Frozen fruit, greek yogurt, protein powder & some nut butter in the blender... it takes like 5 minutes and you can drink it on your commute. It's definitely my favorite fast breakfast.
  • The Night Circus... in your pants. ;)
  • Assisted pull up bands are amazing. I can't do pull ups at all but my new gym doesn't have an assisted pull up machine. Instead, we loop the bands around the bar, hook one foot in and do our pull ups that way! I can already tell that it's helping improve my strength so that I'll someday be able to do an unassisted one! :)
  • I'm not a breakfast person and I used to NEVER eat breakfast. I don't have much appetite in the morning and usually choose sleep over preparing something so I started eating smoothies for breakfast a couple years ago. It is much easier and faster to make myself eat breakfast. Now I can't go w/o breakfast & it keeps me full…
  • That sounds delicious! I usually like savory over sweet though. My favorite cottage cheese add ins: Dill Weed, Pepper & Hemp Hearts. I do love cottage cheese & pineapple though!
  • I worked at a two-screen movie theatre in my town from 15-18. I attribute that job to at LEAST 10 lbs thanks to all the free theatre popcorn, pop & candy. It was a great job for high school though. Got paid to do homework, watch movies and chill out while the movie was playing.
