Mushrooms, eggplant, cabbage, squash, zucchini, spinach, chocolate (yes, I started liking chocolate during my weightloss journey!) forgot brussel sprouts! Love those little green fellas!

You are a beautiful girl (before & after). You know your husband better than any advise we can give you. I would try and talk to him about it. But honestly I think there is an issue in his work place. Looking at your before & now pic I couldn't imagine why he wouldn't want to show you off! And if they have never seen you…

When my husband and I dated he weighed 185lbs and he is 5'11" and I weighed 250lbs and am 5'7". The longer we dated we both started packing on the pounds. It wasn't until we had been together 2 years that I knew I needed to do something for me and not because he was smaller than me. In the 2 year time I had gotten up to…

That happens to me all the time. I will politely refuse food from co-workers and they will make a comment that I can "afford" to eat bad every now and then since I lost so much weight. Which that part doesn't bother me. The part that does it that they are so loud about it and everyone stops and stairs like I am trying to…

142lbs in 16 months. Pics on my profile, not sure how to get them on the thread!

Thank you! Good luck with your journey and as long as you get exercise in (whichever you choose), along with a healthy diet, you will see results.

I prefer the treadmill. I lost all my weight from the treadmill and it broke because I wore it out! Now I have taken to the streets and I HATE it. I was use to walking/running on a 7 incline and now unless I go find an elevated ground area I am flat and I don't feel I am exerting myself like I did on the treadmill. I could…

I started off at 297 so I know the struggle. My first step in losing weight was I made a conscious decision to eat better and try and exercise. I first stopped eating fast food, then I stopped eating almost all processed foods. I made all meals at home so I could control the ingredience. Making homemade meals will help you…

It doesn't look like you have much to lose. You might not notice until you are close to, or even at, your goal. I had to lose 35lbs before people started to notice! How you feel is the most important! If you are feeling healthier then you are on the right track!

I have not given up beer at all while on my weight loss journey. Every Friday I go and have about 2-3 drafts! I can give up a lot but refuse to give up my beer!

When I saw your pictures it was like looking in the mirror. Please know you are not alone and that I feel the same everytime I look in the mirror. I am down from a size 24 to 6 but I still feel 'heavy' due to some extra skin. I sometimes feel more unhappy now then I did when I was bigger because I 'filled out' the skin…

And I was wondering why I stopped getting on MFP for close to 6 months...now I remember the sheer ingnorance and pettiness of people on it :grumble:

I wasn't sure if I was the only one who felt like that! I have lost 148lbs and the idea of gaining 10lbs much less 25lbs or more complete terrifies me. Luckily my husband isn't pushing for children at this point since we have only been married for 5months! I hope everything works out for you and just take the knowledge you…

This ^ I am in maintenance and I eat really well during the week and relax some on the weekends. I still exercise on weekends though. I learned over my journey if I am too hard on myself then I tend to splurge more! If I allow myself to relax then I most of the time can stay within my alloted caloires.

I am in Baton Rouge, LA and we are definitely no strangers to heat! The heat index here can get around 110 degrees as well as 90% humidity. But with that being said, I do my best running in this miserable heat. I run at around 5pm when I get home on weekdays and on weekends I run around 7am. I just pace myself and save my…

March 17, 2012 for me! Feel free to add me. I know it's stressful getting things planned and losing weight!

I think just reminding him of his success this far and the continued encouragement you are giving him will help motivate him. If he knows someone else obese that is willing to put in the work also then that helps. My mom, fiancé, and I started doing it together. We all had the "ah ha" moment at the same time and it has…

I was never one to drink much but I still go and have drinks every Friday night and it has not hindered my weight loss. I workout even harder on Friday to "earn" the drinks I know I will be having that evening. I have learned not to give up anything I like bc you will want it that much more. I just don't have large…

I don't eat red meat or pork haven't since I was 9. I stopped eating it by choice. I don't care for seafood too much either. I eat chicken and turkey. I only eat meat at dinner time.

Great teeth is a must bc I love a beautiful smile. That's what made me fall for my fiancee'! I love strong arms but not overly muscular. Sarcasm is so sexy to me too!
