Love the Strike classes!! I do burn more calories in Strike! I have been doing Jazzercise about 11 yrs - it's good to have new classes and variety to motivate.

I use a HRM everyday at Jazzercise. I go moderate to heavy. I burn on average 250 calories a class. I leave sweaty. I know I have slow metabolism to get this low of a burn. I also have been going to classes on and off for over 10 yrs . I think someone people just don't burn as much as others.

I do Jazzercise 5 times a week (hour) and have been doing yoga 4 times a week (hour and half). Started last week. Hoping to get some weight off before my vacation 5/5/13. Bought a yoga studio groupon for a month. If I lose weight doing both I may have to look into joining a yoga studio.

Scanning bar codes helps............. Log in when you have time. After time of seeing what calories are in the foods you eat, you can guess about how many calories you are eating in a day. Then if your too busy to log you still have an idea what you are eating.

If a drink has calories then I log it but don't log water. Do people log supplements?? I notice that the calcium chews and other supplements have calories.

I am lucky our center offers 5:30am weekdays and Saturday has a 7:15am. We have a good size class that early too. I laughed at the wearing workout clothes to bed - glad it works for you!!

The joys of being a women :) I am glad to see so many women paying attention to their bodies and knowing what will happen during cycles. That keeps us from beating ourselves up over weight gain during that time of month. Kudos!

I am jealous of all the high calorie burns!! I am 5 " 1' and 138 lbs and on average I burn 250- 300 a class. And that is with sweat and moderate intensity. I have been wearing a HR Polar watch with strap for a year now. Doing Jazzercise off and on for 10 yrs.

Logically I know that inches are better then the scale number but I too am obessed with the number on the scale. When I go to the doctor they only worry about the number on the scale and the BMI which is calculated by your weight. This site is a count down for the scale. hmmm - I have the same Polar monitor. I got it at the beginning of the year and it is the same calorie burn as when I got it new. I will reset and check everything. But if I was burning more then the 200 calories I would think I would have lost more weight by now. Since I am loggin in the 200 calories & food dairy works…

My weight goes between 137- 140lbs (goal is 125-130). I do workout enough to sweat and breath heavy. My moniter has me mostly in zone 1 and 2, very little in zone 3. (I will try and reset) I did go to a nutrionist who tested my metabolism (through a breath machine) - she did say I run lower then what she would have…
