I live in Fleming Island too! I was an active MFPer a few years back... Lost 60lbs. Then, a running injury derailed me and I fell off the wagon. I'm trying to come back again now. I used to belong to the Y, but with working full-time and having young kids, I found I was just too busy to go. But... I do have a lot of…

Clay County here too! Was a dedicated MFP person a few years ago, but a running injury deflated me and my exercise goals... and I fell off the wagon. I'm trying to come back now!

Thanks for the input. I do love coconut, but not a taste of it with everything I eat. I do, however, enjoy olive oil... so I may stick with that for my cooking... along with butter and use coconut oil more sparingly. Thanks for the link to Mark's Daily Apple and the discussion about Olive Oil!!!

I've been doing Paleo for less than 2 weeks, but someone posted this in another thread.... http://whole9life.com/2012/06/the-whole30-timeline/

I'm just starting out Paleo for myself right now, and I plan to bring it more "into the family" as I get more into it. My kids are 4 and 8. My 8 year old is more open to trying new foods, but my 4 year old could live off of mac-n-cheese and chicken nuggets every day of the week if you let her. She will be a challenge…

I'm just recently getting into Paleo, but besides eggs I've made these pancakes: 2 eggs Extra Egg Whites, if desired 1 banana dash of vanilla dash of cinnamon 1 TBS ground flax seed handful of walnuts (optional) handful of berries (optional) Combine in a blender and cook on a hot griddle. I also add some pure maple syrup…

I use RUNKEEPER. It's a free app, and I love it.

Mine only last me about 250 miles. I'm a heel striker (sigh... working on changing that), so I tend to wear the outer part of my heel faster than other parts of the shoe. But... I know it's time to swap out new shoes when my feet, legs or hips start to ache more for no reason.

Absolutely. There is nothing wrong with trying to instill healthy exercise habits with your children. My kids are too little to be on the floor with me, but the YMCA has a great program for kids once they reach the age of 9. Plus... there are other activities for kids to do as well, such as swim and sports, etc. Right now,…

I think many of us experience this. My problems aren't during TOM... my problems are the week before... I could eat everything in sight. I just try not to have as much unhealthy food around the house... or I would eat it. I also try to exercise more and stay busy. That helps keep my mind off food. I also just try to drink…

Seriously woman.... your kids are in school/day care all day and you don't work outside the home. Please don't tell me how stressed you are. And yes.... we all know you are mother of the year, baker of the year, home room mom of the year, crafter of the year.... stop posting 800 million pics on facebook of all your crap…

Feel free to add me as a friend as well.... I've been running a little over a year. Training for my first 1/2 marathon on 10/6!!!!

I buy ground turkey breast... it is less calories and fat than typical ground turkey. Right now we use it to make tacos and chili.... No issues for me and the family. We also use the Bubba Burger turkey burgers sometimes too. Much less fat/calories than their ground beef counterpart. However, they are much drier than beef…

For me... it's usually around the start of mile 3!!! When I was only doing shorter distances, the first mile was very hard... now it's 2-3 miles that are hard.

I peel them under running cold water and that seems to help!

Gosh... this is all good info!!! I started using Stevia in the Raw a few months ago because I was informed that it was better for me than the Equal I had been using. I also noticed that I have been getting more headaches. I think I'll research other options, and quit the Stevia all together to see if that helps and brings…
