I'm 5'4 and the biggest thing that helps that skinny fat is lifting weights and training heavy. Cardio will only get you so far but to develop that lean toned look, you need to build muscle. To do that you have to lift heavy. It is not something that happens over night but it is a process. I think many of you would benefit…

I went on vacation last week. We went to Disneyland and did a ton of walking but also ate way more than I have been. I tried to eat good for about 2 days and then I just went to eating whatever I felt like. I came back and was about dead even but each day this week I have lost weight. So I think it does your body some good…

I'm just about to my goal but I am very active and encourage my friends. Feel free to add me.

I have PCOS. It took fertility treatments to conceive my twin daughters. I was later put on bed rest for the last 4 months of my pregnancy. I had a long road to change my body after I was done nursing the twins. I'm 5'4 and under 125lbs. Lower carbs, although I love them dearly, and HIT workouts was what it took for me.…
That's pretty much the point of this thread. To debunk the misconception that lifting heavy will make you "bulky". As for me, I just bought the NROLFW on my lunch break. Plan on getting started tonight. :-)
I just bought it also. I have lifted on and off but haven't really pushed myself to my max. I am…

I gave up Alcohol last year and it was a good experience. In 2014 I have hardly drank so I that won't be a big sacrifice this year. I don't know what to give up this year. Chocolate sounds impossible at this point.

I'm 5'4 (well almost) and I am about 124lbs. I wear anywhere between a 2-6 depending on the brand, juniors versus women's and such. I wear a small in most shirts (have little boobs) or a medium if it is a juniors cut. I have a few bikini shots in my profile. When I was 135 I was wearing a 6-8.

I'm buying a new bikini from VS today. I am so excited to spend this summer feeling confident instead of trying to cover something up. New clothes, pedicures, massages are my favorite rewards I try not to do food rewards but every so often I give myself a treat after an INTENSE workout. ;)

This is my 3rd good run. I lost 35lbs in 2011. Then I have yo-yo-d the same 15-20 pounds since then. This time has been good and I'm just about at goal. Hoping I can maintain this time around. I think I need to be a lifer on this site because when I am not paying attention and logging -- I am gaining. It's that simple for…

When it come to taking your calories burned on a HRM, you will want to subtract your normal calorie burn for an hour period. Your body burns a certain amount of calories during that hour but it is the excess amount that you are really concerned with. I wouldn't take too much stalk in just wearing the HRM as you do your…

This!!! And sound advice from another RGIII fan! I love it!!!! Hail!!!

This!! I have been waxing for 8 years. I will NEVER go back to a razor again!!! Mine last about 4-5 weeks.

I like 1, 13, and 18. All the embarassing things that can happen, have happened to me. Just appologized to my nail tech during my pedicure last week. She did amazing work though and my feet look presentable again.

I try to eat back about 3/4 of my exercise calories. That leaves room for inaccuarate logging or over estimating my exercise calories. On that plan I do really well. I might lose fast if I don't eat them back but soon my body starts holding on to the weight because I am not eating enough. Good luck!

Isogenix does a pee cleanse not a poo cleanse not to be graphic. I tried it myself and saw good results. I lost 8 pounds in 4 days right before a vacation and I have kept 4 of the pounds off. I like there stuff but only used it as a jump start.

First of all, it really shouldn't matter what other people think, do what works for you. My concern is all the artificial crap you are drinking everyday. The flavor packets and artificial sweetener is rough for your body to breakdown all the time. I would work on getting water in its purest form as much as possible. But…

I also have PCOS. It can be manageable. I know that the lower weight I am at, the less symptoms I have. That is another reason for me to keep my weight in check because it directly affects my health. I was able to lose 40ish pounds after I was done nursing my twins (which I had to use fertility treatments to have my girls…

I'm not normally a pizza eater but for some reason that sounds super good right now. My cheat meal of choice is always a cheeseburger and fries from just about anywhere. Oh and alcohol, a nice cold glass a beer or a glass of wine. :(

I don't think, you were totally wrong. Some people will get defensive when you point out they are wrong or make a suggestion. From my own personal experience, my body does so much better with "clean" foods that I cook at home than going with the low cal option from a fast food joint. The processed crap that they try to pass…

That is amazing. I am trying to get my 2 miles under 18 minutes, would love to do it in 15!!! I am in better shape now more than ever as well. WTG!!!

I agree with the interval training. That is what helped me the most. I hardly ever ran the full 3.1 miles on my train days but I pushed my body on the intervals to improve my cardio level. In my 5k the excitement of it all pushed me and I was able to better on my 5k than I ever did time wise in my trainings. I like your…

Fantastic job and you look amazing! What an accomplishment for sure. I am right there with you. Just about hit my goal and I am the same height. Got to love being 120, right???

Oh no...sorry to hear that. I just switched over to maintenance. I am scared to death of that happening. I feel like maintenance is the hardest part. Losing the weight was easy but knowing how to balance life and eating once you reach the goal is the hard part. Go back to the basics and get yourself under control again and…

Wow, you seem to be in good shape. When I run I am in the 160's - 170's with a 10mph pace. I also have the same HRM.

The chest strap is going to be your best bet. I use the Polar FT4 and it does the job. I got mine on Amazon for $50. There are a few higher models that can be even more accurate but I didn't want to spend much more than I did. I would change from what you have though, that doesn't sound like it is doing anything at all for…
