Has anyone here tried Isagenix?

They are cleansing smoothies from what I understand. I am trying to learn more about it before I try.

What do they cleanse that your body doesn't already cleanse?

They are a waste of money. Anything 'cleansing' is as our own bodies do a fine job of cleansing without help. In fact cleansing can get rid of the good bacteria in your colon.

They do however have some good things. The protein bars are delicious as are the tea-infused chocolates (both milk and dark)

I have internal organs, I don't need to buy crappy shakes. I do have this great snake-oil supplement you NEED to try though! Here, I also happen to be a distributor... Just buy from me!

I read this as "Has anyone tried lasagna?".
  • Isogenix does a pee cleanse not a poo cleanse not to be graphic. I tried it myself and saw good results. I lost 8 pounds in 4 days right before a vacation and I have kept 4 of the pounds off. I like there stuff but only used it as a jump start.

I have learned from experience that 100% of these gimmicks are bad news. Eat less, move more. That is all you need to do.

I have found that I feel much better if a high percentage of my calories come from lean protein, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Don't waste precious time and hard earned money on gimmicks.

I really wish the words "cleanse" and "jump start" would automatically turn into **** like some other words on this site.

If it's making you pee, it's a diuretic. It doesn't "clean" anything, it dehydrates you. Ditto with colon cleanses - they add fiber to your colon with psyllium that expands into an indigestible gelatin by absorbing water from your body, then you poop it out. Some colon cleansers are also stimulant laxatives. They're all a gimmicks that do not result in any fat loss whatsoever.
