Hey there! We're in the same boat... single, 40+, a very active 10yro son and making a lifetime commitment to this lifestyle journey! Looking forward to adding you as a friend! Good luck!

This is great info!!! I'm 5'2" 1/2 (yes, the 1/2 counts) and my goal is to lose 45 more. I've lost 22lbs so far (lost 38 initially and gained some back). I will take the advice of the the MFPs that replied to this post and make it happen! See you at the top!

thanks...truth hurts but very helpful!
-
I had the same question...63 lbs in 5 months...that is amazing! YOU LOOK AMAZING TOO! Congrats! And I love that your "secret formula" is simple...eat right and workout! Love it!
-
I'm going to try that...drink water to see if that curbs my craving! Thanks
-
My mid-morning snack craving hits me around 10:30am too... 3tbs of almonds and Sargento fat free string cheese is my favorite!
-
JUST DO IT! Sorry, I couldn't resist but the old adage from Nike is so befitting...LOL! I wake up at 5am to get my morning workout in before the rest of house wakes up and I do my evening workout while my son is at swim practice everyday for 1.5 hours... It's like brushing your teeth....you gotta fit it in.
-
I just found out that I sprained a ligament in my foot and your information was more helpful than what the doctor told me...lol! Thanks
-
I know right! My Spanx doesn't have to do as much work as it has to do in the past....LOL! Great NSV!!!!
-
right!!!!!

it was time....

Hydrate!!!!! Moisturize!!!! Strength training/Weight lifting!!!! PATIENCE!!!!!! Make sure you target those specific areas (i.e. push ups for your triceps, sit ups & planks for your tummy, squats for your thighs, etc) Hope this helps....I had the same concerns when I first started and this is the advice I was given.…

not an option!
-
Yes, they need to include a goal for those folks with two left feet...and who cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. That would be the Copper goal...lol!
-
wow...never dawned on me that this was such a hot topic...interesting.
-
hahahha...based on the definition, yes, viagara is used for toning!!!! And strengthening too, for that matter!
-
And to add one more question...what do they actually improve upon...learning how to hold your lunch instead of "burping" it up is the 1st thing that comes to mind...strength training for your esophagus?
-
hahahahahahahahahaahahaha! your response made my day!
-
glad you posted this...I want to be a runner too. MFPs gave some great advice. Going to check out C25K now...thanks everyone!

You look amazing! Keep inspiring us!
-
wow...this is like studying for a physics exam...thanks! Thanks...I will study this and figure out my calculations. And then put them to good use.
-
I love this post! Congrats!

One of my dear friends got me the FT7 for my bday and I love it (other than the fact that the machine says I burn more calories than my HRM does). See my blog that I just posted...completely frustrating...lol!
-
I log my housework but I also wear my HRM. But I only do it when I'm doing extensive cleaning such as cleaning all of the baseboards (2-story home), vacuuming, mopping floors, unpacking/cleaning out the garage, yard work, etc.
-
YEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! THANKS FOR THE GUT CHECK!!!! THIS WAS RIGHT ON TIME!!! (AND SO TRUE)! GOING TO PRINT THIS OUT AND TAPE IT TO MY FOREHEAD!!!
-
I'm concerned about this same issue...thanks for posting this! And thanks to you all for the great feedback. I'm on it!
-
I just had this same issue...you all provided some really great info but I'm going to do some research on my own. The machines always project more calories burned than the HRM. I am leaning more toward my HRM being more accurate since it is set to my weight, age, height, DOB, etc. But we'll see...
