I'm so in! Just gotta go buy a jump rope. I really wanna tone my legs. My thighs are huge! Lol. I'm gonna try for Silver for now and work my way up to Ruby!
Great! I recommend a fitness rated one - Walmart sells 'em for about $10- the weight of the rope and the ball bearings makes for a much better experience! I don't recommend a leather one though, those really hurt when they hit you!
Thanks for joining!0 -
I'm in. I'm going for "Ruby." Good luck all!
Awesome!
Thanks!0 -
Going for Ruby. ) What are the guidelines?
Great!!
10 consecutive minutes of jump roping every day in July for the Ruby level. The minutes must be consecutive, but not pauseless - as in tripping/restarting/ catching breath/ changing style - all good. During the month we can post questions and comments. At the end of the month you can post your achievement!
Happy hopping and thanks for joining!0 -

I'm in.... Long term goal is ruby and short term goal is 1 minute without tripping. Lol. Great idea for a challenge!
Yes, they need to include a goal for those folks with two left feet...and who cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. That would be the Copper goal...lol!0 -
I'm in for at least silver!0

lol! It doesn't matter to me how many times you trip, as long as you try to jump the rope 10 minutes! I know I will be restarting a lot!0 -

Do you get anything if your workout regimen already consists of you operating at or beyond the Ruby level?0

Absolutely! Good question. You could get Ruby.
Or, keeping in the tune of '10 minutes', experienced jump ropers could aim for 10 minutes multiple times a day.
Platinum: 10 minutes 2x day
Diamond: 10 minutes 3x or more a day.0 -

Jumping rope is my main means of cardio and has been for a couple years. One of the tricks I used to get good was I did it while watching movies, and I "rewarded" myself for duration by being able to continue with the movie. When I had to call it quits I would pause or stop the movie until the next day at which point I resumed it. I got up to the point where I could do it consistently for up to 45 minutes at a time taking only short breaks (like 30 seconds or so every few minutes). I now use a weighted rope.0
