I went into my Diary Settings but there’s no ‘Net Carbs Mode’ option for me. My app is up to date?

I’ve logged in here daily for 12 years and I’ve been friends with people here for all that time and now I can’t see them on my feed anymore. I’m devastated!

I gained about 60lbs when I was pregnant and my partner gained 45lbs of so-called 'sympathy' weight. He teased me and put me down over my weight gain (I was underweight when I got pregnant so was about 10lbs over my ideal BMI post partum). I lost all mine in a few months. He didn't. That shut him up very quickly.

Wow! Well done you, that's pretty amazing :flowerforyou:

Firstly, congratulations for going into treatment and facing your demons head on. Right now, I think it's more important to keep yourself free from alcohol. My gosh, you're 'only' one week into sobriety - do one thing at a time and give yourself credit for what you've achieved! Alcoholism will kill you a lot quicker than…

....and reporting him/her too :-/

You "slipped back". You are now in the behavioural mode that you were in before you were at maintenance (and I presume, recovery)? What do you think? Step outside yourself and imagine another ED sufferer writing this post. What would you suggest?

Lots of water. If you have a vegetable juicer, certain juices can help. I find a combo of celery, cucumber, ginger and parsley can help. If you can't handle the taste, add 1/2 an apple.

This. Amongst many other things, you're seriously increasing your risk of early-onset osteoporosis; suppressed immunity; fatigue; depression, etc. being at a low weight. It sounds to me like you're possibly more concerned with eating 'perfectly' that actually being healthy? I didn't read the link, but have read similar…

I'm beginning to think you're never going to gain any weight until you lose the boyfriend :-/

I'm at 771 and somebody on my FL has an impressive 1,380 day streak :)

I'm anorexic and therefore underweight and have been told by family members that I look like I have AIDS/cancer. I would never comment on any of their weights but, as I'm underweight, it would appear I'm fair game

Hey, You have said here before that you are in ED recovery. I am 15 years older than you. I am not doing a job that is as physically demanding as yours, and I need to be eating a lot more than the 1,970 kcals that you mention in order to recover, physically and mentally. You need to speak to somebody who knows your…

You really need a professional such as a dietician/nutritionist who specialises in eating disorders, and who knows where you're at in recovery, and your state of health (your labs etc.). Every sufferer's situation, health and dietary needs are very unique (I was losing on 3,500 calories during one of my recovery efforts!).…

They are *kitten*. Seriously.

When my son was in preschool, there was a kid who was severely allergic to peanuts so we were told we couldn't even give our kids PB for breakfast because it could trigger a reaction. Although I felt it was unfair, especially as PB was one of my son's staples at the time, the child with the allergy has a right to socialise…

Famous last words. I've done it myself. I thought I could lose a few pounds and I'd be OK as I'd been managing my anorexia for quite a while. A few months later I was underweight, under eating, over-exercising and trapped, once again, in ED hell. You are playing with fire here in the same way that an alcoholic would be…

Your profile says you want to lose 19 lbs, but you are already "thin and athletic", and your profile pic doesn't look like a person who could do with losing any weight. I'm a bit confused as to what your goals are? With your restrictive ED history, maybe you need to talk to your doctor first? x

No food, I'd be too nervous to enjoy it! Just alcohol. Lots of alcohol.

Hahaha!!!

I was chatted up in a restaurant when I was 9 months pregnant. Now that was extremely creepy.

Throw them out or, better still, drop them into a charity store. It doesn't help having them because it's all too tempting to try them on... and that just leads to guilt. You really need to be getting them consistently for a few months before you can be sure they're back for good. Again, something you need to speak with…

Why, as a 63 lb anorexic, did I feel compelled to lose more weight? There were - and are - a million reasons why. Same, I guess, for those who are on the opposite side of the coin?

Yes! I've been in recovery many times, and initially, any increases leave me feeling so full and bloated. Even increasing my fluid intake can do this. I was told it was partly psychological and partly physical. Our digestive systems slow right down and, in the early stages of physical recovery, it can take food up to four…

Exactly! I'm European, have been to America twice (for a few months each time) and I loved it, and would like to return. As somebody who can't have sugar, I found eating a bigger challenge than my fellow travellers, but as we cooked at home and only ate out once or twice, it was fine. Conversely, when I've travelled to…
