  • It is very possible. I went through it with caffeine. I tried going from drinking a 12-pack of pepsi every two days to quitting it cold turkey. It was two weeks of hell... my headaches were terrible. I ended up having to increase my coffee intake and drink a diet here and there and lot my body slowly get used to the much…
  • I found a push up challenge myself today! Along with squats challenge! I am horrible so I KNOW I will be repeating weeks... best of luck to you!
  • Look into Yoga or Pilates! I have degenerate disk disease so I have to be very careful with my movement and stretch really good. I easily pull out my back and it literally makes me unmovable for weeks at a time ( and I am not even 25 yet!) I find that when I am consistent with Y and P I feel great and am much more fluid!…
  • If you feel okay, are drinking your water and seriously aren't hungry I don't think forcing yourself to eat is good. If you could go for a snack or small meal, cheese is always great for me to get the cals up. You are just starting out so you just have to find your grove and see what works best for you. Keep it simple.…
  • MFP set me at only 1330 if I don't exercise. People have different activity levels. Like me, I am typically sitting in front of a computer all day so I am not burning as much calories as say a policeman would...lol. If I exercise, sometimes I will eat them back if I am legit hungry. Everyone is different and burns and…
  • I switch it up. One morning I will have a higher carb breakfast.. ie oatmeal and bagel then the next day I will have a low carb breakfast... ie egg white omelet w/ cheese and turkey bacon. The internet is endless when it comes to recipes... google!
  • I plan to be doing this but concentrating just on the carb numbers and zig zagging them. I think it's good for the body, so long as there numbers are high enough to sustain normal life expenditure without exercise. Just like with exercise, you body will get used to the same thing over and over and adapt to it. Keep it…
  • And people who consider it "shaming" are doing just as much damage. You are giving them excuses and reasoning for their obesity. When in my opinion, there is no other reason except for lack of proper decision making and accountability for your own actions. Emotional eating you say? Well the first step in fixing that is to…
  • Sodium = water retention. Drink more water.
  • WOW, only 3 months?!? That is amazing!!
  • I think it's needed. People are more worried about hurting another person's "feelings" than their overall health? It's not just "being fat." Being really overweight can and will kill you! We need to let people know, sure it's "okay" if you choose to live such a lifestyle, but it is NOT healthy and will have consequences. I…
  • Wow!! You look amazing girl!! What a cutie! Way to go!!
  • I say too low. I am taller and weigh less and I eat more than that. Not much, but for not really being active I still eat more than that. And then when I DO exercise, I eat even more. And that is with me sitting around not doing anything. If you are nursing and have 3 young kids, I am sure you are burning way more than you…
  • Under the "Food" tab there is a "Recipe" mini tab. Click that. You are able to save the recipes.
  • Nope. I don't want to get obsessed with the weight loss. It's coming. I can notice when I take pictures just to take them.. that is enough for me :)
  • Amazing feedback!! Thanks to everyone. I should have mentioned I am a sugar addict (who isn't..lol) I was drinking a 12-pack of Pepsi every 2 days along with 4 cups of coffee. All real sugar. I have stopped 90% of that and now drink diets (maybe one or two sodas a day) and a few cups of coffee now using the Splenda. I have…
  • I have the liquid Stevia, it's ok but I am not thrilled about it. Price wise, is Stevia about the same as Splenda?
  • I remember saying the Pledge of Allegiance in school every morning!
  • Uhhh, you are not forced to read them. If you don't like them then stay away. Pretty simple if you ask me.
  • Average person drinks 3-4 cups a day and that is fine. Be careful what you put in it though! I use Almond milk and splenda to keep down the calories.
  • Mine's open. It's just not that serious to me. Nobody has ever said anything to me and if they did, I wouldn't pay them no mind. What I eat is none of the business unless I am asking them. I always look at other people's to get ideas or just to look so I think it's fair to keep mine open.
  • Welcome to the internet.......are you new here? Some people are just crabby apples. You just have to learn to pay them no mind. One thing I have noticed though is people being honest and real and because it's not what someone wants to hear, they get up in arms about it.
  • Yeah I find it very tedious. I have learned not to run to the computer every time I eat something, but rather make a list and enter either all at night before bed or once in the afternoon and then finish before bed. Also, if you have an Iphone, you can download the app and just scan the food items. When I had one I was…
  • For the most part I am trying to lower my carbs significantly. Today I failed horribly, but when I do good on it, there is ounces lost everyday.
  • There are low carb wraps out there. I just saw some today! low carb= lower cal. I think they were like 5 net carbs. Remember that your fiber is subtracted from your carbs, that is your "true" carb intake.
  • I enjoy a cheat day once a week/ once every two weeks, guilt free!! Keeps me from giving into temptation regularly. I know it's coming so I wait it out. You can enjoy a "treat" here and there, I'd never survive with it.. LoL
  • Bump!!! I am always looking for low-carb foods! There are a TON of replacements out that. Google will become your best friend! There is so much out there!
  • Yeah, it really does. Trust me. I used to drink NO water willingly. Not one cup of plain water, ever! LoL Your body needs water. I am not going to go on and on, I am sure others will give you all the info. I hated water at first. I started with cutting out the soda (I was drinking a 12-pack of pepsi every two days.. still…
