I wear my Osprey for long runs as well. After longer runs (10+ miles) my back gets a little sore =/ Was your back sore from the extra weight the next day? -F

Thanks, friend! I really appreciate it =) Photos are definitely a huge motivator... I do not want to go back there! I am mostly sad that I wasted time looking that way... I really wish I could enjoy the pictures from the wonderful events- but looking at myself like that just makes me sad. rachemn, I have been struggling…

My dog is my best running partner. I have a Doberman and he runs everything up to 10 miles with me (he could probably do more- but I don't want to let him hurt himself). He was very easy to train and loves to run... maybe even more than I do =) A few things to possibly consider: I do not run off road/ horse path with him…

Thanks, guys. I am considering throttling back to 8 miles and increasing mileage a half mile each week until my next half in March. It's great to hear what everyone else does (so thanks, bjbixler)- so hopefully folks will continue posting on here!

Yes! I have a 5 year old Doberman Pinscher... he is amazing. The longest we've gone together has been 9 miles (so far) and he usually joins me on 3 or 4 runs a week. On long runs (over 6 miles) I bring an extra water bottle along and stop at 6 or 7 miles to let him hydrate. We always use a leash as we primarily run city…

I second McPanda... If I'm doing more than 5 or 6 miles, I will have a slice of toast with peanut butter on it before my am runs. I also like to have coffee (usually about a 1/2 mug to 1 mug at least 15 minutes before I take off). I like eating small meals and snacks throughout the day and it helps me to have some coffee…

There are a few perks that come with the treadmill... 1. You can run inside during inclement weather. 2. You can run inside 24-7 without having to worry about safety (ie cars/ muggers/ etc). 3. Treadmills are easier on your joints. Running on the machine is more forgiving than pavement =) All that being said, I still…

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=41a_1295556602 I bet if you do this with him (once) he will never 'ask' to be held during workout time again! (Maybe I should edit this and add that I am completely joking!) Best of luck with your little one!

Work the muscles beneath. If your pecks are more fit, your bust can appear "perkier". Also- always provide support to the girls! Definitely get fitted by a professional for everyday bras- and wear a compression bra when you work out. I even SLEEP in a bra to provide nightly support: a t-shirt material bra without…

Welcome to MFP! I joined this site in June and it has helped me out tremendously! I too bounced back and forth with my diet and never really gave what I ate much thought... turns out, that was the main key in what was keeping those extra lbs locked to me! Best of luck! If you want a supportive friend you are welcome to add…

Kapeluza: I love the sepia pic- your eyes are gorgeous! Also- (I may have stalked your profile) the blue dress in your photos is super cute and hooray for military wives! You rock!

I live out west too- what is up with this cold weather?! On my recent runs, I've made sure to wear a warm band over my ears and I bring a bandanna to cover my nose/ mouth with until I get warmed up. Also- I spend extra time warming up at the house before I take off. I stretch my feet really well and wear a thin pair of…
