Thank you for the suggestions. I have a food scale that I use to measure meats so I know what I'm getting. I guess I need to start weighing more things than just meat to be sure. I don't have insurance so going to the doctor requires some saving. :/ But I do plan on going sooner rather than later. I'm Starting to see that…

Wow! You don't even look like the same person. I'm inspired! I don't know how tall you are, but I originally started at close to 200 lbs and wear a 16 or 14 (Depending on brand.) and my goal is 150. I'm 5'6" so you give me inspiration.

Congratulations! What a change already and you look sooooo much happier. :)

Way to go!!

Congratulations! You look awesome!

Wow! That is definitely a big difference! Congrats on your progress so far!

I think a HRM is fairly accurate. I have found that MFP is off about some exercises I do and some things it matches fairly close to what my HRM says. It just depends, but your safest bet is definitely the HRM.

I agree...you can't spot reduce fat loss. Make sure you're incorporating strength training in with your cardio. The more muscle you have the more calories your body will burn. Just keep at it. The last bit is always the hardest and takes the longest.

I take selenium, magnesium, a regular multi-vitamin, fish oil, and biotin. I also wait several hours after taking my Armour before I take all those supplements to make sure nothing interferes with the Armour.

Dang! You have made amazing progress! I almost didn't recognize you! Way to go!

that's awesome!

I don't have any pictures and am still a work in progress, but I've been doing JM dvd's for a few years now and LOVE them and have definitely seen results with it, but I wanted to encourage you that true motivation comes from within. Sure, we can get a quick motivation from reading others stories and looking at their…

I also got switched to Armour from Levothyroxine after switching doctors. It took a few months, but I finally started to feel better. I still get very tired after working out...like almost can't do anything the rest of the day, but overall I feel so much better. It took a few months so hang in there. I have yet to see any…

I'm also hypothyroid. I'm on 60mg of Armour, just started that about 6 months ago I think. Before that a different doctor had me on 25 mg of levothyroxine. I can't remember for sure what my TSH level was at 1st...I think it was 1. something, but my T3 and T4 levels were pretty low. My TSH level is now around .1-.3...can't…

Feel free to add me as well. I'm on here several times a day. Sounds like you just had a baby? I know what it's like having to get back in the swing of things after having a baby...I've got 3 of em. :) If you can't get to the gym get some dvd's and start there. I have been working out for years and still haven't found the…

Don't worry! You'll get better at it as you go. Just keep at it and don't give up! You'll be surprised when a few weeks from now you look back and see how much stronger you are. Try it with your elbows down and also on your knees at the same time. That's how I started out. I'm not awesome at a full plank, but I'm getting…

Hi! I'm 30, 5'6" and 192. Lost 19 pounds originally and got down to 175 then got diagnosed with hypothyroidism and been trying to find balance and figure out how to lose again. My goal is 150 for now. You're welcome to add me too.

I was the same way when I started. I thought I was going to die! I started late last August and a year later almost I still haven't finished it. BUT I'm in week 6 now. I've had a lot of illnesses/injuries in the last year and had to repeat weeks, but I kept going and so should you. I think week 1 is 60 seconds jog 90…

I got teary eyed watching that. That's awesome! Congratulations!

Good for you!! It's tough sometimes to get back up and keep going when we "fall", but it makes us stronger. Having a bad day isn't what makes us failures. We would be failures if we didn't keep trying. I'm proud of you for succeeding and being an inspiration to us all!! :)

I have heard many different answers to this question, but IMO eat at least at your BMR. That's the amount of calories your body needs in order to do basic functions...breathing, digestion, heart beating etc. I personally can't eat less than my BMR. OR you can eat at the 1200 calories and eat back your exercise…

You can go in and change your settings on MFP and change your starting weight or actually edit any of the weight entries. As far as the scale thing goes, try not to put too much emphasis on what it says. I can easily fluctuate a couple pounds or so overnight. I'm starting to find the trends in what I eat that causes those…

Here's the link http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/30-couch-to-5k-running-program-c25k I did a seach in the groups for c25k and there were a ton of groups that came up, but I think this one is the primary one.

Really? I'll have to look for that! I realized that I've got my breathing down. It's my legs that feel like they are going to give out so I just tried my best to ignore my legs and focus on relaxing my upper body and breathing. I tend to tense up which makes it harder on myself.

Holy crap! What a difference! You look great!

I am definitely learning a lot lately. I was worried that something was major wrong with me, but found out that the major hair loss (I'm only 29), crazy water retention and...ahem...constipation all have to do with the thyroid too. Thank you all for responding. Feel free to add me as a friend those that that want to. The…

Lol...cardio police...I think that would be me. Its so hard to scale back or to not train hard on all my workout days. I feel like a failure if I don't give every workout my all. I know in my head that you'rw probably right though. On days that I run I usually do the regular video workout in the morning and then run in the…

I workout 5 days a week at home doing 45-60 minutes of Jillian Michaels dvd's. I started running 3 days a week in addition to my regular routine about 3 weeks ago...hence the shin problems. The hamstring stuff started probably 2-3 months ago though. My rest days are split up...Wednesday & Sunday. Should I put them together?

Thank you for your reply! I do track calories on here, but i set my own calorie goal based on the calculators that I have used on the web. I'm just really afraid of gaining back anything. It's been a long hard road so far to get off those 17 pounds and I don't want to get set back, but I also don't want to keep working out…
