C25K NSV
I've been doing the C25K program off and on while doing regular dvd workouts. We just moved to a neighborhood a couple weeks ago where I can really do the running regularly. I've been stuck on week 4 doing the jog 5 mins and jog 3 min intervals. I couldn't do the 5 minute ones usually. Well I decided to move on to week 5…

Need encouragement...feeling discouraged...hypothyroid
I was recently started on a low dose of thyroid meds (hypothyroid). I've been experiencing symptoms for about a year or so, but when they got worse a couple months ago I finally decided to go back to the doctor 2-3 weeks ago and that's when I started meds. I've been so fatigued that just getting through the day is a…

Took a week off...still hurting.
After many many weeks of painful/tight hamstrings & shins hurting I decided to take a week off from exercising. My hamstrings don't hurt while doing nothing anymore, but they're still very tight and seem to seize up quickly if I use them. My shins now only hurt when I have to run through the house. (I have 3 boys.) I…

Prozac withdrawals anyone???
I started taking Prozac back in March or April to help with fatigue. It did help for awhile, but eventually I got sick of the side effects. Not being able to sleep (I have 3 boys 7, 4 & 21 months...I NEED my sleep!) and some other ones as well, but sleep was the most bothersome. I started taking it about every other day…

I'm frustrated with the consistent hamstring issues I've been having. I do Jillian Michaels DVDs at home with occasionally throwing in tae bo or p90x stuff, but mostly Jillian DVDs. For a couple months now my hamstrings have really been bothering me. Tightness and soreness just won't go away. I workout 5 days a week and…

NEED OPINIONS PLEASE! Where to go from here??
I started my journey May 1st. Actually wayyyy before that. I had been at 1200-1300 calories for months with no loss at all. May 1st I went to 1530 and for the whole month of May I lost 2-3 pounds a week. In June it tapered off so I bumped to 1600 and I've stayed there. The losses have been verrrry slow in the last couple…

Which calorie needs calculator to go by??
I'm thinking I either need to lower my calories or up my calories, MFP lowered my calories a little bit, but I used google and found a few calorie needs calculators to determine how many calories I need to lose 1 pound per week. All the other calculators say right around 1800, but MFP says 1590. My weight loss has been…

Should I: Up/Lower Calories or Keep Doing What I'm Doing?
I would love some advice/feedback. I have lost 11 pounds so far which I know is great, but I keep having these weeks that I "gain" instead of lose. For instance when I started doing this seriously I was at 1200 cals for a while and exercised 3-4 times a week for 30-45 mins. I didn't lose anything. Was tired all the time…

This Whole Water Weight Thing Is Pissing Me Off
When I started this whole thing in May I lost 2 pounds a week for 3 weeks getting me all happy and excited. Then the 4th week I supposedly "gained" 2 back, but by the weekend I was back down to where I was. By Monday I had "lost" an additional 2 pounds and then by the end of last week I had lost another pound putting me at…

This might seem like a little victory for most, but it's huge for me and I'm so excited I had to share. My weekly goal is to lose 2 pounds a week and my monthly goal is to lose 8 pounds. Well today, on the last day of the month, I reach 9 pounds for May!!!!! Yay!!! And for the week I hit 3 pounds!!! I officially weigh less…

Week 4 and already stalling/gaining?? Advice please!
A little back info...up until about 4 weeks ago my calories had been set at 1200. I worked out 3-4 days at the time for about 45-60 minutes each workout and wasn't losing anything for months. I had headaches all the time and was exhausted all the time. I got in the forums and was advised to up my calories and update my…

Extreme Shed & Shred Success Stories??
I have several of Jillian Michael's DVD's, but Extreme Shed & Shred is definitely my favorite. I do the whole thing at least 3 times a week and do other exercises the other 2 days. I have been losing about 2 pounds a week since I started it...as well as making other diet changes. I'm curious if anyone else is having…

I'm confused...why eat back burned calories???
I have never heard of eating back your calories burned until MFP. I don't understand why you would do that if you're wanting to lose weight? If you do that then what's the point of working out? Don't they cancel eachother out basically?
