I've decided to take a week off from exercise due to injury. Should I keep eating my normal calories or lower them some? I currently eat about 1800. My bmr is about 1600 and my tdee is currently 2400.

If you are tracking your calorie intake here, then there is no reason to lower your calories-you simply won't GET the added exercise calories. If you are NOT tracking on here, then I'd cut by a couple hundred a day if you work out daily. I had to take a week off for injury as well. ANd now, 1 week later, I'm sick. It SUCKS!0

Thank you for your reply! I do track calories on here, but i set my own calorie goal based on the calculators that I have used on the web. I'm just really afraid of gaining back anything. It's been a long hard road so far to get off those 17 pounds and I don't want to get set back, but I also don't want to keep working out on my strained hamstrings and end up permenatly damaging them. I've been putting off taking a "break" for weeks and working out even though my hamstrings have been screaming at me.
I'm also scared that if I stop I won't be able to start back up or that I'll have to start back at zero. This stinks!0
