  • patience girl! Its only been 2 weeks... Give your body a chance to adjust to the changes. Im not a patient person, at all, especially when it comes to workin out and losing weight, but you have to be. Just push through the frustration and turn it into motivation! Do not give up! They are right, you didn't gain this weight…
  • I have, but it hasn't been a real big deal. yet. My hubby used to be active, and lately has slacked off a bit, so as I am training for races and losing my baby weight, I have felt a little like I am leaving him in my dust. There don't seem to be any rifts between us because of it and just the other day he told me that I…
  • I think it can go away, you just gotta work hard girl. I have had 2 kids am a shorty too (5'1") and have lost all my baby weight. I did have the extra loose skin (still a little) but its takes alot of core work to tighten that back up. Think about it - it took 10 months to stretch it out, its not gonna go away over night!!…
  • i would say crystal light is a good transition, but don't JUST drink it. Its got aspartame, the same nasty, bad for you artificial sweetener thats in most diet sodas, so you really won't be doing much to help yourself. Id say go cold turkey. or try crsytal light pure, which is made with sugar and truvia. good luck!!! it…
  • oooo i like this!!! good idea!! I always mix in light mayo and sweet relish. lots of good variations on here!! I might steal a few... ;-)
  • hahahaha thats awesome!!! be proud, you have obviously worked hard to achieve this goal!!! change can be scary, but this one is GOOD!! go with it!! :-)
  • Its a very thin line you have to walk and carefully balance. You will burn a ton of calories by breastfeeding, so know that first off. Add in a bit of exercise and you should be ok. If you want to keep your supply up, keep your calorie intake up and don't over do the exercise. I started a home dvd workout called insanity 4…
  • I would up your calorie intake. 1200 is the minimum you should be taking in, and since your working out, your body needs MORE calories. its a hard concept to wrap your mind around (trust me, i still struggle with it) but if you want to lose, you need to take in more good calories. more protein. I bet that helps. :-) good…
  • oh you poor thing. thats rough!!! Family members can be the worst when it comes to this... They don't realize how much their comments hurt, plus they probly struggle with their own personal issues/weight problems and don't handle change very well. But you don't have to stand there and take it. You don't have to let your…
  • insanity girl!!! I am just finishing and have lost nearly all of my baby weight (30 lbs) and feel fantastic!! Going to start P90X next. :-)
  • when you're pregnant you only need to consume an extra 300 calories a day. And they shouldn't be bad calories, like a piece of chocolate cake!! (although... sometimes thats just what you want!! haha) I would talk to your doctor re exercise, but mine encouraged exercises that weren't too extreme or that required balance.…
  • I kind of considered skipping it, too, because it becomes a bit monotonous, doing the same workout every day for 6 days, but its definitely worth it. It doesn't feel like a recovery workout, but it definitely helps you prepare for month two!! Im almost done with month 2 and will probly start over soon. "this *kitten* is…
  • try harder sweetie. Its a mental block. eat a good solid breakfast with lots of protein, eat a medium sized lunch and a medium to small sized dinner. Squeeze some healthy snacks in between that are high in protein and fiber, so you stay full and stop thinking about what you're missing. Cravings only last a few minutes and…
  • Mine were never very big to begin with (im pretty petite) and after having 2 kids and nursing both of them, they seem to have gotten smaller and even less perky!! Im glad im not the only one, though. It doesn't seem fair to have small boobs and then to have them shrink even smaller and seem deflated, but such is life.…
  • I do not eat my exercise calories, atleast not all of them. If you want to lose, then don't eat them. :-) Eat meals that are high in protein and fiber so that you feel fuller longer. I eat snacks like- tuna and ritz crackers, almonds, raw fruit/veggies (carrots, apples, oranges...) things like that. my workouts include;…
  • I have weak ankles and have to stretch and strengthen them in order for them to not get sore and "go out" on me while I workout. maybe you do too?? Id see a doctor of some sort, cause thats no good!!! :-(
  • IM 5'2' (ISH) and currently weigh 111lbs, my goal is to lose about 5 more and continue toning. If I happen to not lose any pounds but tone and gain more muscle, Im definitely ok with that! Im a petite gal :-) good idea with posting height, it is hard to tell.
  • As I am reading this, I am just now realizing that it IS HARD!! I have 2 little ones, ages 21 months and 3 months and am realizing how lucky I am to squeeze in a workout during their naps every day. But its rough- some days I would rather sleep. or just veg out during that quiet time but know that the workout will make me…
  • I say go for it !! If its something you're concerned with and think about, then do it, because thats what will make you happy! You can tell yourself all day long that you're healthy and fine, but if 10 lbs is what you want to lose, then go for it and I don't think its unhealthy at all!! Or obsessive. trust me, i know…
  • you can create your own exercises under the exercise tab. label it how you want and log how many calories you burn (using a hrm im guessing?). Thats what I do with the insanity workouts. they arent on here either. :-)
  • great read, very inspiring. I like to think I had the right mindset. Guess only time will tell!!! :-)
  • If you at back all of your calories, you probably won't lose much. You need some to fuel your workouts, but if you eat them all how will you lose?? thats the way I think about it anyways. :-)
  • do they nap? if so you could workout while they sleep. thats what i do everyday w my 2 little ones. ;-)
  • The sugar in fruits are natural and not nearly as bad for you as processed and artificial sweeteners. That being said, I always go over on mine, too and have been trying to cut it down. I think you have to decide what works for you. This MFP is a tool, not a way of life, so if you go over because you're eating fruit, i…

  • Lots of good support here for you... its not his fault, but I can see how you want to blame him, instead of looking within. Hes not forcing you to eat or forcing you to get up with him. My husband works in Law enforcement and his schedule makes me crazy some days. Plus he does some seriously crazy training/workouts and…
  • good call on going to get checked out. At the very least, you can rule that out and chalk it up to being thirsty!!! hope everything turns out good for ya. :-) keep hydrating!!
  • heck yeah, count it!! I count it when I go grocery shopping (for an hour/hour and a half) and carry my baby girl in the baby carrier! it wears me out, so its definitely worth counting. :-)
  • i have done the power 90 and it is pretty low impact. Never tried p90x, but im doing insanity now and its really hard!!! but Im seeing awesome results.
  • you can do it mamas!!!! I just had my second 10 weeks ago and you just HAVE to do it. Its not easy. Its stubborn pregnancy weight, but we can do it!! Look at everything we have been through already! Pregnancy, birth and recovery. Losing the weight should be easy!!! haha but we know its not. Just keep on, ladies. :-)
  • yep. strength training, weights will burn the most, and all day too!
