Hey everyone. I'm new on here. This site is great! My husband and I decided to start Power 90 twelve days ago. So far, we haven't cheated even once. I have lost 2 pounds (wish it were more), but I already feel better. I have more energy and haven't had a headache in 2 weeks. I used to get a headache everyday. We are on a 1,200 calorie a day diet (give or take a few calories). The only thing that's tough is that I'm not losing as much weight as I'd hoped, and I have to exercise 6 days a week. Would love to connect with other people who are doing or have done Power 90. I have a two year old son who keeps me pretty active, but I have at least 35 pounds to lose... still haven't lost that baby weight!

I would up your calorie intake. 1200 is the minimum you should be taking in, and since your working out, your body needs MORE calories. its a hard concept to wrap your mind around (trust me, i still struggle with it) but if you want to lose, you need to take in more good calories. more protein. I bet that helps. :-) good luck!!

    Hello and Welcome!
I have done Power 90 so I may have some advice for you. First of all congratulation on losing 2 lbs! You have to remember that you are starting something new and your body will take some getting used to this program. You are strength training every other day so no only are you going to lose weight, you're adding muscle which I'm sure you know weighs more than fat. Did you take your measurements in the beginning? Go off how many inches you lose in the first two month, in the last 30 days you will see the weight come off more easly.
One other thing, I don't think you are eating enough calories. A 1200 a day diet is for someone who is not excercising. You need to eat back your excercise calories or your body goes into "starvation mode". Basiclly it thinks you are starving and uses your muscle to burn for energy instead of fat. If you can invest in a heart rate monitor and track your calories burned during your cardio session it would help you keep track of how much you burn, for you strength training you should probably be burning around 400 calories with Power 90 but that's an estimate.
Hope that helps! Friend me if you like and I'll be happy to help. I have been doing Beachbody workouts since 2003 so I have a pretty good grasp on how most of them work and have done the majority of them myself.
Good Luck to you and your Husband

I agree..I do better when I eat some of my exercise cals back..I try to NET about 900 on av.. that's is low for some..but for ME that's about right...If you aren't netting enough..you won't lose weight
