  • Ok well my happy time would be the entire year of 2005. It wasn't a perfect year but it was when all that young adult, coming of age stuff happened for me. I had the greatest time with my friends, started dating my husband, and experienced a lot of new things. I also had a smokin' hot bod! I recently found a old box of…
  • I've done it while doing cardio on stationary machines. It helps get me through. I listen to audiobooks as well or watch Hulu. There's not that much to focus on, your body just kinda takes over. I can move my limbs, keep track of my heart rate, and enjoy a good book or show at the same time.

  • Hi Kelly, I'm on the same dose, been taking it about 3 months. Did they have you increase your dose gradually or did you start with 3 a day? How long have you been taking it? I got that sick, icky feeling for a while but as I kept taking it, the sickness started to diminish. It does suck the first few weeks though. From…

  • Hi, I have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) which has a major impact on weight gain/loss, metabolism, and a host of other things. Before I was diagnosed , my weight ballooned and I was very lethargic. When I started seeing an endocrinologist and got my levels balanced my weight gain slowed and it was easier to shed…

  • Cool Thread....Well 1) I'm addicted to The Sims, it's my most favorite game ever! 2) I have 2 middle names 3) I've lived in a "haunted house" and am surprisingly still fascinated by the supernatural/paranormal.

  • I can't really say how much it contributed to weight loss because it was never my only form of exercise but I could tell a difference in my endurance after a while.

  • Totally agree with @operationfatb. I'm in the same boat. I just love food, everything from grandma's kitchen to five star restaurants. The Food Network sends me into a frenzy! I tend to indulge the most when I'm celebrating. Of course I get the fat girl blues and grab a cupcake or cheesecake as comfort food. Winter is also…

  • YES you can! I used to worry about mine but I understand feeling a little self-conscious. I heard Bio-Oil is good for lightening them. In the mean time here's a quote from Katt Williams (expletives have been replaced with smurf) "Smurf that. If your man got a problem with your stretch marks, I suggest you stop smurfin with…
  • My husband is a 911 Telecommunicator, with those crazy 12 hr day/night shifts as well. He had the hardest time for a while. I'm not sure what all his "at work" practices are but I'm sure he feels your pain. His MFP name is Wahoospartan if you'd like to friend him, he may have some pointers. There's also a group called…
  • This is so true. I used to get a little bummed when my husband seemed to be shedding pounds with ease and I was working my tail off and getting nowhere. I had to realize that there was really no comparison and learn to celebrate my progress. Keep encouraging and educating her, my husband really helped to change my…
