i started trail running about a year ago after being a road runner for about 2 1/2 years. I love the trails ive done 1 trail half, 3 trail marathons and 1 trail ultra and cant wait to run more trail races.

i do all my intervals on a treadmill and have a love/hate relationship with my pyramids session. on the road i just run how i feel but i always mix up my training by going on the hills trails where i live

Id go and get your gait measure so you get the right shoe for you. If you think the shoe they recomend in the shop is too expensive tell them they might have an older model in the shop. If not search online afterwards. I always wear asics gel nimbus and the price can vary depending on the model

im running a marathon each day on the 15 and 16 December so id say yours is doable. Just dont be expecting to get any PB's just enjoy the day and experience each one brings x

i did my first 10k trail race yesterday and didnt really expect the hills but very happy with my time of 59.16 mins. Today is a rest day as i have ran 7 times in the last 5 days x

My 9 year old has been running 5k parkruns for nearly 2 years. On Friday night we did Race for Life and she smashed her time coming in at 30.07 mins. My nearly 5 year old often does 1 mile of the park run and my 2/12 year old is also getting very keen to run x

in a 10k race i take on water as i do tend to push my body and it would be silly not to x

if your only running a 5k then theirs no need to use gels or take water with you. Even for a 10k race you wouldnt need any gels. I use jelly beans for anything over 10 miles but i can quite comfortable run 10 miles without jelly beans or water. Even when running a half marathon i use half a pack of jelly beans and for full…

its 11 minutes more than if you'd of just sat at home and done nothing. No ammount of exercise is worthless x
