  • Everything seems to be going well on my end. I goofed up on the first day and fasted out of stress (I think I ate a handful of pistachios for the whole day ._.), but besides that, I seem to be sticking with it. It really helps to make all my meals in advance because after working all day, I really don't want to come home…
  • Thanks for the links. Maybe when I get some extra money I'll do that meal plan site. Sounds like it could really come in handy.
  • Everyone who's coming into this late: you're welcome to join! You'll obivously just have to add a couple of days past the main groups finish date (chances are I'll keep eating like this after the 30 days anyways). But yeah, you guys are more than welcome to join!
  • Great suggestion! It recommended "cooking fat" and had a huge section on how to extract fat from meats and the like. I was a little apprehensive of that so I just resorted to the Pam that I already had laying around the house but that coconut oil sounds like a viable option. Thanks again!
  • Picking up a copy from the library today; thanks for the heads up!
  • Hey, sorry for the delay. Here's the recipe for the meatloaf 1 Onion 2 Packs of Trader Joe's All Natural Lean Ground Beef - Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef 90/10, 2 container (16 oz ea.) 1 Cup Trader Joe's - Just Almond Meal 2 Large - Organic Free Range Whole Egg 1 container Hunt's - 100% Natural - Tomato Paste 1 tsp Market…
  • Don't even get me started! Every time I see a thread like this I just cringe.
  • It bugs the ever loving *kitten* out of me when people don't know the difference between LOOSE and LOSE. LOOSE - Hey look! My pants are LOOSE because I've been dieting! LOSE - I'm going to LOSE my fingers if I don't pay this hooker for her fantastic services! Learn the difference people. It's not as hard as it looks. ;)
  • You and me both sister...if only my employers knew they were paying me to goof around on message boards. O_O
  • This is pretty useful! Thanks for sharing!
  • I think it's an every day thing for the whole 30 days if I'm not mistaken. O_o
  • I'll start with you! I was suppose to start yesterday but...yeah. That didn't pan out so well. :/ But today sounds like a great time to start!! :3
  • It's hard to say what a good carb goal is because it really depends on the person. I wasn't eating a lot of carbs before I got the idea to go paleo anyways so my current goal is 60 or less. You want to watch how much fruit you eat and treat them more like a dessert than anything because a lot of fruit has a surprising…
  • I have a recipe for paleo meatloaf that would take you all the way to 600 cals per serving. I can post if you'd like. :)
  • I want to get a bunch of tattoos when I reach my gw. But I think the first one I'll get is a wolf with a quote from the song "Hungry Wolf" by X. I also might get a pin-up of Frankenfurter but that is definitely up in the air. LOL
  • All is good rosadona. Maybe you can bring some paleo friendly snacks/ meals with you in a backpack so if you do feel like stress eating, you'll have something to munch on. It's better then resorting to those dastardly gold fish. e_e
  • I think I might have the same thing? It only happens in my right elbow though, and it also only happens when I make a fist and try to work out (kickboxing, close fisted push ups, etc). I have no idea what's causing it! O_o
  • ...It really depends on what you get and how much you get. What are you planning on eating?
  • Wow...lotta boob hatin' going on. I f*in love my boobs. Sure, when I lose weight some of the extra boob fluff will go with it but I don't mind. I think a nice handful is more than enough to satisfy most people. Inb4 TITS or GTFO
  • *Bump* Really interested in seeing some responses. Wish I could help. :/
  • I think you hit the nail on the head when you said " I could perhaps have eaten more, and this worries me a bit - I am going to have to figure out what hunger is, because previously I think I have measured satiety by feeling bloated by carbs". There is mention of a "carb crash" for the first couple days to a week or so…
  • As far as I know, red wine is a'okay. Though you might want to take it easy on quantities but I don't think we'll hang it over your head if you get blasted. :P
  • And now for a little shameless self promotion. I think it would be a little lame to litter this forum with all my receipts, personal meal plans and grocery lists, etc. Sooooo I've started keeping a blog chronicling the whole 30 days. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/RiverInTheRoad **TO ALL WHO ARE PARTICIPATING**: * I…
  • All right folks, I need a vote here. I can either keep us as one big group or I can split us up into teams of 3-4 to keep it tight knit and really focused. The challenge is not closed yet but will be closing on Sunday at 7:00pm (so I can split teams up if that's what we want). I recommend all members of this challenge add…
  • Thanks to all the current paleos for contributing their stories and super useful links and recommendations!! You're really helping all us newbs out. For those that do follow the diet, what does your typical workout week look like?
  • I'm in Anacrime (Anaheim). :D Welcome!
  • I'm in the same boat as you. My budget is restricted to the point where I'll probably have to sacrifice a couple of things to get the food I need. That being said, I have never actually tried this so can't speak in certainties. This might actually be cheaper depending on a lot of different factors. I'm just trying to stay…
  • Agreed, you guys all make excellent points. I think there was a study WAY back where they had found a tribe of indigenous people eating (obviously) what came from their environments and their teeth were immaculate and they never had to brush them or anything and never had cavities (not saying I'm going to stop brushing my…
  • Thanks for the link to the other thread. :3 And yes, I love me some wolverines. Some people think it's a bear or a beaver or something and I can't help but lol. :P
