Thank you for all of the responses. I am not trying to be shallow. I actually model for work and it is hard to be around these tiny girls all the time. I see my very thin friends starving themselves and getting skinny and it really gets to me. I workout a LOT and it is just frustrating to work so hard and not lose a pound.

i used to have a problem with undereating. i would nearly starve myself, working out hard - running many miles and eating only 1200 or fewer calories, and i'd lose weight quickly but gain it right back... now when i eat all my calories i seem to stay the same, or even worse, gain weight. i found i eat less and healthier…

i have been eating a lot of protein (protein bars etc) since i am trying to do low carb and i'm wondering if too much protein can be a bad thing and make you gain weight?
-
I want to lose weight quickly but keep muscle and stay full so I am thinking of just replacing each meal with an Atkins protein bar. My only worry is it is high in fat. Any thoughts?

Why is fake sugar bad for you?

I need help. I have been eating way too much all week and yesterday I totally binged. After already eating about 3 times my needed calories I downed half a jar of peanut butter then ate pieces of the brownies I baked for a friend. I threw away the rest of the peanubt butter and all other "bad" foods, even bread. It's all…

How do I stop always thinking about food????? I distract myself with other things but food always takes over my brain!!!!!

I keep doing starvation diets and not eating a lot for longs hours and I just dig myself into a hole! My metabolism goes down and then I lose tons of weight but gain it right back pretty quickly! If I eat every few hours I usually don't eat too much anyway. So here's to no more starvation diets!!!!!

You are definitely gaining muscle if you're working out that much. Also, women tend to go up and down for many reasons, usually our menstrual cycle plays a role. Make sure you weigh yourself only in the morning to get the most accurate number, and don't stress out - there's always tomorrow. Fluctuations are normal and…

i find that food tastes ten times better when made or reheated in the oven. especially pizza and chinese food. what do you think?????

why is it that my boyfriend only eats really unhealthy food in mass quantities, at all hours esp late evening, eats at least 5 times as much as i do, and STILL does not have an ounce of fat on his body??? somebody please explain, this is not fair!

why do we gain weight immediately after losing it from a calorie restricting diet? i always gain it right back when i start eating "normally" :(
-
is peanut butter good or bad for my diet? it is very high in fat but i heard this is "good" fat... is there such a thing? i love peanut butter but i don't want it to make me FAT!

Isn't the point to lose those calories to lose weight? Why eat them back?
-
thanks! i know you'll feel more full with good calories, but will you gain more weight with bad ones?
-
...is there such thing? does it matter what i eat so long as it does not surpass my needed caloric intake?
-
this is very helpful, thank you so much! best of luck today :)

I exercise too much and don't eat enough, so I know I need to start eating more and exercising less. The problem, though, is that when I do start eating more I quickly pack on the pounds. How do I train my body to eat a lot more with less exercise and not gain weight?
-
I workout a ton and do not consume nearly enough calories for the amount I burn off... I am still not losing weight - primarily in the belly. What am I doing wrong? Isn't the formula more calories burned than consumed? And when I do eat more I just get fat. what's wrong here?
-
Same! It is always sweets and I can't stop myself. When I add up the tastes the are a LOT of calories!
-
I always tell myself I'll have "just a taste" of something. NO MORE! One spoonful of something delicious leads to many more. You know what it tastes like and you know its good. Tasting is just teasing yourself, and you end up eating way more than you intended! Does anyone else have this problem?

why do i always allow myself to eat lots of sweet and junk when i am sleep deprived?
