Congratulations!!! Babycenter says if you're in a healthy weight range to begin with to eat the same in the first trimester, an extra 300 in the second and an extra 450 in the third. Your care provider will say something if they're concerned. As for the vegetarian, what to eat, as much iron as you can would be my…

My opinion: Eat at least your BMR :D

Have you looked into superfoods? Spirulina is apparently a great source of protein, but I'd do your own research to see if it meets your needs.

I lost 13kg in total, mostly via this method. I had tried several 'methods' until I found this way and I love it!!

I know you wrote this in August, but personally, I'd work on increasing what I eat during the day but introducing calorie dense foods, add almonds, avocado and protein shakes to boost it up.

I have found long term that this is WAYYYY easier/better for ME!

It does, but no where near as well as fitbit. You can go to Check-In, Edit Previous Entries or Reports > Progress > Fitbit Steps

Some sugars are okay, but added sugar is what you want to watch. Yoghurt's tend to have a lot of sugar that you should try to limit, try greek or natural yoghurt. Full fat milk is better than skim because they add sugar for taste. Ingredients on packaging are listed by weight, try not to eat anything that lists sugar (or…

I vote HRM. Polar are great. Fitbit you have to wear 24/7, HRM you wear when you exercise.

You don't include the fibre in your food diary because when you juice fruits and vegetables the fibre is removed...

Lucky!! I tried on their skort today and was in between sizes and it was $75 so I could NOT get it, so I didn't even bother trying the leggings or pants on. $50 for a thin material shirt is also way too much IMO. I'd be happy with $20 and I'm happy to pay that bit more if I look good in them that makes me feel more…

I went to LJ on my lunch break and hated the prices!! Went to Cotton On Body, but was running out of time and just got a pair of shorts but definitely want to try on some of those pants! I might have to browse a bit more, I like rebel sport, sometimes, maybe just buy sale items :p

Good food, exercise, both cardio and strength, and time. Sorry :p

Wow, one day with not enough calories will have very little overall affect. You might be tired or hungrier the next day, that's about it. I would have gone with the small portioned healthier option and stayed under target if I had the will power to do so. One bad meal in that scenario is better than no meal, the small…

If you can't manage 7-9 hours a night, try adding and 80-90 minute nap in your day. Google biphasic sleeping, that might be your answer.

It's probably not 100% accurate, but I used to log the juice as the fruit veg itself but I reentered it into mfp with 0 fibre content, same sugar.

I hated it when I started trying to lose weight that people would tell me that I don't need to lose weight, I was not morbidly obese, but I was not healthy and I wanted to be. Then as I begin losing weight quite well for my size, people started to tell me to stop etc.. I realised that I used to tell people they don't need…

I imagine it works exactly the same, except that you will have to be more patient as you have more to lose. If I were you I would talk to a medical professional about to lose the weight in a healthy and maintainable way. There is no quick fix.

YEP If you don't eat what you exercise, most people tend to burn out. Become tired and sluggish and not able to exercise as they would like. BMR - basal metabolic rate, how much calories your body burns by existing Try to never eat less than your BMR as that is what your body needs, If you set your activity level and how…

Maybe they mean their protein powder is pineapple flavoured?

minus isn't necessarily bad, -50 is better than +500 I always aim for AT LEAST MY BMR and BELOW MY MAINTENANCE. When I was losing I was aiming to eat least my bmr and net 500-1000 calories below maintenance. I believe it is much healthier than '1200'

I feel comfortable where I am now, but being fitter and healthier won't hurt. I'm going to be a bridesmaid in Nov next year, and my best friend is engaged (she hasn't asked anyone yet and I am not assuming, but I will most likely be a bridesmaid (or even maybe maid of honour :flowerforyou: )) You are so right about the…

Watch out for high sugar in the low fat yoghurt, nutritional fat is not the enemy!

I agree with this, if my boyfriend was into facebook etc like I was there'd be no problem, but since facebook has taken over with sharing information he's become sick of it. He hates hearing people say "oh yeah, I saw that on facebook" and because I love facebook because I talk to several of my close friends and family…

I absolutely love how BCP's have no added explanation... so what - if I want to lose weight I have to go off the pill...puh-lease. Utter BS!!

EIA can often have symptoms about 10min after you exercise. Not necessarily during exercise. Asthma has many triggers, it can be different for different people, perhaps your trigger is an allergen: dog fur...? I used to be triggered by viruses, now it only tends to be exercise. If you keep having trouble, see a doctor or…

I stopped logging on Wed, my plan is to eat when hungry and try to make healthy choices most of the time. As well, as keep up my exercise and work on improving my fitness. If I start to gain weight I might go back to logging, or change something up. For the most part, I've learnt a lot from MFP and will just try to listen…

Q: What is your take on caffeine — is it good or bad? Should I skip it altogether, or maybe just stick to a daily limit? A: Caffeine in moderation is a good thing. It improves cognitive function, inhibits insulin resistance, and speeds up your metabolism. The trick is not to overdo it! Too much caffeine can actually make…
