And welcome to you! You will find lots of support online, but it's not a magic bullet - you still have to make thebest choicesyou can every day. Cute baby!

Isn't that the best? Sort of like finding old friends in your closet. Happy NSV!

The journal works very well! I call it a 'gratitude journal'. Each night, write down three positive things that happened, and three negative things that happened. After about a week of this, you will probably find it easier and easier to record the happy times, and difficult to find three 'negative' things. Let me know how…

I took the leap and tried quinoa this weekend. I made a ragu with fresh garlic, onion and eggplant. Added diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and a splash of cognac. (I didn't have any red wine in the house, or I would have used that.) Added salt, pepper, italian herbs from the garden, and the cooked quinoa. Even the grandkids…

I think you'll find a lot of us that are just like you. The only advice I can give you is to give yourself permission to put yourself first!

You are correct! Carbonated beverages eat bones! I have full fledged osteoporosis now, after a lifetime of diet colas, and none of the bone-building meds helped me until I stopped drinking sodas. If you have family histories of osteo, Stay Away from Soda!!!

I also had gall bladder surgery...years ago. It is hard for me to process fresh veggies and fruit. Are you having that problem? Maybe the high fat foods don't hurt? Try analyzing what your body is telling you when you eat, and include lean proteins in every meal.

Just finished a fat free, low carb pomegranite shake. Blend several ice cubes with 1/2 cup skim milk. Add Chobani fat free pomegranite greek yogurt, and blend slightly. You can add some sweetener like stevia, and even some oat bran for fiber. Rich, filling, and guiltless!

Always have a glass of ice water next to your keyboard, and set an alarm to take breaks every 15 min or so.?.
