I love mine! Don't use it all the time, but zucchini makes a great pasta substitute.

Yes, and they're delicious. I found a recipe with Morrocan spices. Also good mixed with other dried fruits/nuts.

What a great picture--you look so happy and active, poignant compared to pic on happiest day of your life. Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration!
-
You've done great, and with such a positive attitude! Very impressed.

I agree with the poster who said it's about loving the new lifestyle more than the old. I was thinking about that this morning when I pushed myself out the door and to the gym. Sure, I could skip a day every now and then, but I love the results of my discipline so much more than the results I got when I was slacking off!

42 and in the best shape of my adult life. Life began for me at 40!!
-
I did it, for same reasons, and same general experience. Now I enjoy coffee straight up. If you really like coffee, you'll probably adapt. As others have noted, if you can reduce/use fat free/sugar free, you can still enjoy it however you like it!

leftover turkey breast with broccoli and brown rice pilaf. and a grapefruit for dessert.

I just made snickerdoodles tonight! Giving them to a friend for a party, I've only eaten two. They're easy. I wouldn't try rolling and cutting them out, though. If you really want to cut out sugar cookies, go for it! I always get bored of that before I finish.

Great job! Keep doing it!

5'6", 41 HW: 296 CW: 190 GW: 180...maybe lower? I never thought I would hit the 100lb mark, so I didn't think much further

You're not alone; I have it too. I just keep telling myself I feel SO MUCH BETTER than I did 100 lbs ago. It's a consequence of my years and years of poor health, and in my case only surgery will fix it. But I have a great, active, life and a wonderful man who loves me and my saggy-fit body, so I try and keep it in…

Wow! So much hard work evident. Well done, you look fantastic!
-
Fantastic! You proved to yourself you could do it. Well done. Awesome accomplishment.

Can't sleep on my side because my knee bones touch and kind of "pinch" the skin there or something This. I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one. I am still getting used to feeling so "bony." (I am HARDLY skin and bones) But I can feel my collar bone and my butt and knees all the time now.
-
Sorry...your question was about freezing. YES! Almost any soup/chili/casserole will freeze, with a few exceptions:potatoes and pasta don't do well. Meat and beans and tomato-based sauces do great. Good luck!
-
I usually make a chili or stew and eat off of it all week. It is labor intensive, but I portion out nuts, raisins, carrots, celery sticks, etc., into baggies on my day off. If they're easy to grab, I'm MUCH more likely to grab them!

You are not the only one!

But I will take some flabby skin over weighing over 300 lbs. This. I am over 40, and I have loose skin all over. But I am SO MUCH HAPPIER now.
-
I can see how different styles would work for different people. For me, NOT weighing regularly was part of how I ignored my fat and crept up to 296 lbs without thinking much about it. So the daily accountability helps me. I see my number and celebrate how much I've accomplished and I take the daily fluctuations in stride.…

I can relate! Enjoy your sweet success! What a fantastic accomplishment!

I set an alarm in the next room so I have to get up to turn it off. I get my clothes and breakfast ready the night before. And then I just do it!
-
Gotta agree with Randolph Mantooth. Bill Bixby as a close second. Wow, I feel really old now.
-
Well said. You have a great attitude! Thanks for the encouragement.
-
Congrats on the shin bruises! I hate them but I am proud when I have them.
-
Look at it this way: it won't get any easier tomorrow or next week or next month to get back on the wagon, so just do it today!
-
I hope you will go for it and try it! I am heavy and slow, but I have improved so much and am so proud of the progress I've made, I no longer care at all what others might be thinking. And everyone I've encountered has been friendly. Good luck to you! If you don't like it, you can try something else.

Absolutely! My trainer is an Olympic lifter and says this all the time, and has always had me doing them "a@@ to the grass." My legs feel great. I have been fortunate and don't have any knee issues.

Gardening, reading, knitting, guitar. And most recently, Olympic lifting!

I would appreciate the heads up and enjoy the challenge to look as hot as possible and probably ask for some special favors for my efforts. I thought I was super-sensitive, but maybe I'm not, considering the majority of negative responses.
