I second that one! Haha. When I said goodbye to my boobs I also said goodbye to my gut so I viewed it as a necessary sacrifice haha.

Well, I couldn't do day 3 yesterday.. my shoulder was just giving me too much trouble. They're still really tight and hurting pretty bad today too but I'm going to try again tonight anyways. I must workout today! Today is potluck day at work!

Been there before! After I lost all the weight I wanted to lose for my wedding, I started drinking beer again.. lots of it. Now, here I am a year later and I'm having to diet again to lose ALL the weight I gained back (literally, all of it..) My diet has really decreased my desire to drink. I exercise as a form of stress…

That is not how our metabolic pathway works. When it comes to the chemical reactions of metabolism, fat is always consumed before muscle. Our body works on the resources we give it (i.e. calories) and then works it's way down to stored energy (i.e. fat) and then muscle. But out bodies will save using muscle for energy last…

I used to log them when I took the chewables because they added about an extra 100 cal a day to my diet. But now I'm on a zero calorie vitamin and I take two fish oil at night. I rarely meet my caloric goals so those two fish oil pills at night aren't going to put me overboard by any means.
-
I'm learning to log all my days. Sometimes I don't but it turns out to be a good thing to log even my bad days. I am way under my goals some days and eating extra a day or two a week helps me even out. Plus, as everyone else says, it holds me accountable.

I'm not taking measurements but I am weighing myself once or twice a week. I'll weigh myself tomorrow, we'll see how it goes. I try not to obsess over it. However, I'm already noticing a big difference in my arms and my thighs. I"m getting my arm tone back quick! I've only done two days too!

I was going to wait until July but I decided to go ahead and start. I had the motivation so I wanted to take advantage of it before my laziness took over and I ended up saying I'd wait until July and then never doing it.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes :)

I suggest looking at Big Lots if you have one in your area. My friend found an arm band for $8 :) I haven't picked one up yet and I just end up stuffing my phone into my sports bra.. maybe not the best idea.

Ditto. The paid version has less ads I guess. I haven't purchased it yet. I like the program for the same reasons.
-
I started yesterday too. I've been a runner in the past though. It's a good way to start a running program. You can do it :) Pace yourself and keep up the good work!

I'm also doing the Jillian Michael's 30DS. The c25k is a great cardio workout but I need to incorporate some kind of strength training too.
-
That's good news. I am excited to try it again tonight when I get home from work (I have a VERY busy desk job, if you can't tell!) I definitely had to do some of the moves modified and I'm sure I will have to tonight because I'm really sore but we'll see how it goes. I'm planning on sticking with it for sure! I've seen the…

Awesome outlook and great post!

I use organic stevia. It's not that expensive because one container of the individual packets lasts me a really long time. I don't use apartame products and Splenda was nice until it started making my ulcer hurt again. I hear Stevia and Splenda are good for pregnant ladies because it doesn't cross the placental barrier. I…

Hello everyone, This is my first time trying c25k. I have always been an avid runner but I've never been able to complete a 5k or 10k successfully because I've always got this horrible pain that starts up in my right shoulder. I've read that many things can contribute to this so I'm working on strength training (with 30…

^^ This. The same thing happens to me when I go from a long period of inactivity (ie, LAZY) to getting back on track fitness wise. I plump up like a Christmas turkey. After a couple weeks, I thin out. Eat clean and drink plenty of water. You can do this.
-
I can personally identify with this. I have worked out hard at the gym and then I eat like complete crap so I never lose a pound. I think this is especially important when you're down to those last 10 or 20 lbs.

We eat a lot of organic, free-range, boneless skinless chicken breasts. I find that the price for the Trader Joe's chicken is exactly the same as the local store's hormone-filled overpopulated chicken factory crud. As far as fish go, I like to eat a salmon and trout.
-
I shop at Trader Joe's and stick to as much organic content as possible. Fruits: Seasonal fruits Strawberries Apples Bananas Grapes Pineapple Apricots Canteloupe Avocado (it's a fruit, right? It has a seed?) Veggies: Yellow onions Mushrooms (****ake, crimini, portabella) Tomatoes Broccili Zuchini Spinach Baby carrots…

Oh feel free to request me as a friend if you'd like :)

So I previewed the videos last night and I'm going to go ahead and start them tonight. The pushups are what is going to get me the worst but I really need to build up strength in my chest and shoulders so that I can help lessen the pain I experience in my shoulder when I run. RIght now I can't run a whole mile because of…

I hear you can get the DVD for about $10 at a local store or you can get it online for about $7. I downloaded an avi file and that'll work just fine for me. I previewed the video last night and it looks like it's not exceedingly difficult and a good way to jumpstart an interval training program. I've never worked with a…

I suppose some of your struggles are diet related. A lot of processed foods high in sodium, very little whole grains. It seems like a lot of what you're eating isn't really fueling your body. For me, eating nothing but crap and working my butt off at the gym did nothing. Once I cleaned up my diet, all the exercise finally…

Congrats! As with everyone else, I recommend speaking to the doctor, OB, etc. I'm currently TTC (trying to conceive) and from what I've read, moderate intensity exercise is OK but vigorous exercise can contribute to lower fertility (not a concern for you but one for me) and increased risk of miscarriage. It is my…

Agreed.

Eating a clean diet will help the most. Lots and lots of varied ab exercises. Crunches, bicycle crunches, side crunches, plank, side plank, situps, Pilates 100's, Captain's chair, etc etc etc. I'd recommend going onto Google and getting a list of ab exercises. I suggest a frequent, extensive, wide variety of exercises. I…
