I'm 27 yrs old with 3 kids. I'm now done having babies so I would like to work on my stomach. Anyone have any exercises that worked for them to make their stomach flat again?

I am on a diet but I know a lot of women that just dieting didn't work that's why I want some exercises...0

If you are looking to increase your ab muscles, then planks.
If you are just looking for less fat on your stomach, then diet.0 -
Diet.
didn't know that was an exercise...
Running, crunches & planks worked for me. Mostly running, not very regular with the planks and crunches.0 -
I heard planks work good!!!!! also try any jm dvd! good luck!0

Eating a clean diet will help the most. Lots and lots of varied ab exercises. Crunches, bicycle crunches, side crunches, plank, side plank, situps, Pilates 100's, Captain's chair, etc etc etc. I'd recommend going onto Google and getting a list of ab exercises. I suggest a frequent, extensive, wide variety of exercises. I just do as many as I can within the time period I have to exercise or as many as my abs can handle. I'm back to flubber belly from too much beer but last year I ate very clean and spent at least 30 min on abs when I hit the gym every day. It worked great, I had a 6 pack in a couple months. Stay away from refined sugars, simple carbs, and alcohol. Was easy to lose but wasn't easy to get.. :-/ Good luck!!0

Hiking certainly helped a lot! Gotta burn that fat away with hard work, but don't forget to enjoy the scenery along the way.0

You cannot spot reduce.
Abs are made in the Kitchen. But with overall body exercising and weight training you can cut your body fat percentages down
And to the idiot who said DIET....pull your head out and look up what DIET is.0 -
Diet.
This.
But since you don't like his answer, then you can do crunches for 3 hours a day, everyday. Have fun!! I personally just prefer to Deadlift.0 -
ZUMBA!! I SWEAR BY IT!! I have lost all my weight from zumba. Have went from 155 pounds to 120pounds... I have two kids by csections and both BIG when born and all i have done is zumba and stay with my calorie limit and eat half my excercise calories back and i all my extra baby weight is gone and my stomach is back to what it was before kids.0

Pretty sure DIET is NOT an exercise. I also agree that running is GREAT for your abs. I do no abs work outs, just running and my tummy is pretty flat. You can actually feel your stomache muscles contract when you are out jogging.0 -
There isnt a way to spot reduce but i found that doing exercises that target more then one muscle group helped me lose quicker...fitness magazine and body rock tv have great interval/circuits that did great for me0

Same. It's good to flex your abs while running too.0 -
Crunches..........lay on your back, feet up on a chair at 90 degree angle......hands behind your head and come up as far as you can SLOWLY and back down SLOWLY.......keep repeating. Most people do them too fast and it's the slow up and down that stresses and tightens your stomach muscles. If hands behind your head stresses your neck, then place arms crossed over your chest and do same exercise. Good luck and they are easy to do.0

stomach is getting flatter by my diet
squats & deadlifts help. I do planks & crunches but no more than 5 min of that 3x a week.0 -
My coach says you can't spot reduce. You need muscle to burn fat, so work the legs and core.
Work out smartly. You'll burn the most stored fat if you keep your heart rate at about 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. Working harder will make you fit faster, but it won't burn off the fat as well as a slightly easier workout.
So, situps, push-ups, planks, and walk/walk/walk. (Or run, or dance)
Drink lots of water!
Ditch the caffeine. The segment on "The Doctors" as shown on 6/13 boiled down to:
* Caffeine -- coffee and sodas -- dehydrates the body. Your body needs water to burn fat to loose weight.
* Caffeine stimulates the brain and body, which leads to shaking which creates an urge to eat.
* Caffeine increases the hormone, cortisol, which leads to mood swings, food binges, AND stores fat in the abdomen.
Ditch white food. No white flour, no sugar, no salt, no white potatoes.
Ditch processed foods.
Ditch fatty foods.
Eat lots of veggies and fruit.
Eat ENOUGH calories. (Of the right kind.) If you don't eat enough, your body thinks there is a famine, and it will slow your metabolism down to a crawl.
Eat a good breakfast. Eat something every 2-3 hours to keep your body happy, and speed up the metabolism.
I've lost 22 pounds in 13 weeks eating this way. My weight loss would have been much better if I had been able to do the exercises, but it's hard to do much with crutches! Most of my weight came off my belly and my thighs.
Good luck!0 -
I had triplets by c section and I have skin that will never go away so I am opting for a tummy tuck within a year!!0
