yeah, I actually do.

10 lbs here. Had two weeks off and spent all of it sitting on the sofa. It was awesome. :) But back to business now.

I used mine for the first time last night. It seems fairly worthless for tracking sleep, saying I was out like a light for 8 hours. At least I know I can't count on it to track sleep with any accuracy, I was awake all night as usual.

You know that vampires aren't a real thing, right?

What the H are "mild vampiric tendencies"?

Wives should sit quietly with their hands folded.

I hear you. In about September, I quit logging in and basically quit paying attention. It is astonishingly easy to pack it on. After 50 years on this planet I should have known that. Time to be honest with myself again and weigh in every week. Time to get at least 30 minutes of some sort of activity every day. Time to…

I have been using a product called Midnite that actually seems to work for me. I can't believe it but it actually does help. I think I'll probably need something a bit more effective down the road, meaning bio-identical hormones, but for now, I'll take it!…

I had to stop running completely because of severe knee arthritis. I had been running about 20 miles a week, it was a pretty tough blow. I have maintained my weight and walk regularly, pretty fast, and am able to burn some good calories. I also do hatha yoga.

by the way, what is wrong with someone being upfront about "actively seeking a relationship"?
-
First of all, I believe that on Match.com, "a few extra pounds" is the only choice. They don't have an "obese" or "very overweight" checkbox. But more importantly, there are people of all kinds everywhere, including online dating sites. If you don't care for what you see, move on. No use complaining about it, you are not…

Is it the job of the FDA to babysit us? We are adults, and doctors are armed with information. We need to take some responsibility for ourselves! The FDA has made it clear what the risks are. It's not their job to weigh the risks and benefits for each person. Would I take it? Hell no! But that does not mean I can decide…

Nothing! I am a stress starver.

Say "no thank you". Repeat as necessary. You don't have to explain.

Is it the regular or the light? The database has the information you need. Look it up, and choose the entire container. If you eat a quarter, put in .25 servings. You can split it up anyway you want. According to the database, one package has 378 calories.

I'd get a new trainer.

This is patently false. Full stop.

Even though extensive biological knowledge indicates very much otherwise?

Yes. You put it much more succinctly than I did. IS it that much of a stretch? I really don't think it is. I admit that I have a lot of reading to do on the topic and have only scratched the surface, but it just computes with me.

I guess I could have used a better example, I just used that link because it was easy to read. I should have been more careful about using a site with an agenda, you're right. There are actually good peer-reviewed papers about it. The experiment with the rodents was pretty compelling to me. This may be a better place to…

Awesome! What do you work on? Symbiotic flora? Nutrition? What I do not understand yet is the diversity. Is it actually different species, or different expressions? Or a little of both? Some papers I read discuss your native flora being with you for life. Is that really so? The interactions and possibilities are seemingly…

And I am really glad you brought this up. There are actually examples of this kind of thing, quite literally. There are parasites that steer the behavior of their hosts. Flukes of mammals have a complex life cycle. One stage of which requires the cow to eat an infected ant. The parasite-infected ant actually has altered…

In some ways, absolutely!

That is what I am trying to say: That we know that people with different diets have different gut bacteria. But is it possible that it goes both ways? That diet affects bacteria, and bacteria affect diet?

Do you get the strap leads wet before you put it on?

I had to leave NJ because of my job! (Princeton). But Ive been pining for it ever since I landed two feet in Michigan. I will probably always plot and plan to come back, NJ is where my heart is. There is too much missing out here: Taylor ham (they don't even know what it IS!) Yuengling Thumann's Tastykake (nobody out here…

As with virtually everything else in life, moderation is key. A diet that includes read meat can be extremely healthy. A diet that contains only read meat, not so much. Red meat contains a complete set of essential amino acids as well as a bunch of good proteins and fats. But it is also pretty high calorie and contains a…

Onward! :flowerforyou: I had a similar epiphany when I realized I wasn't that far of from asking for an extension myself. Plus I realized that I was not exactly fitting into the seats without my butt impinging on someone else's territory. You can do this.
