I think I'd burst out laughing if I tried "evoking the middle name". I've made a note to try this and not laugh.0

Five Deadly Terms Used by a Woman
1 FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when she knows she is right and you need to shut-up.
2 NOTHING: Means something and you need to be worried.
3 GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission, do not do it.
4 WHATEVER: A woman's way of saying screw you.
5 THAT'S OKAY: She is thinking long and hard on how and when you will pay for your mistake.
Bonus Word WOW! This is not a compliment, she's amazed that one person could be so stupid.
You have been warned!0 -
I think you mean "INvoking"? Evoking is something entirely different...
I do this to my son. I call him by his first and middle name, and that's how he knows I mean business.0 -
I just do it to my kids. I call my husband by his first and last name when he is being a dufus...lol0
-
But I've never done this to my husband, as he already goes by his middle name as his handle, anyway. So it wouldn't really have the same pissed-off ring if I used his real full name.0
-
I had a horrible habit of replacing his middle name with a curse word. So it'd be first name, curse word, last name. Lol.0
-
I use the FULL name when he's being a bad or stupid boy, but I also use his FULL name occasionally while in bed. Nothing better than confusing him and keeping him on his toes.

You're very forgiving.
I would have said it was time for a new one.0 -
My husband says he knows if I'm upset, if I even just use his first name when addressing him, instead of sweetheart or another endearment. If I used his middle name in anger, I may go without sex for awhile.... thinking of his mom would not be a turn on for him. I do use first and last when joking around yelling if he does something stupid, joking around.0

I confess I don't have a husband, but I can't imagine calling a grown man by his full name when I am upset with him. That's actually kind of funny!0
