  • What is the FODMAP diet?
  • Anyone post menopause tried Keto? I'm 61 and the struggle is real. So frustrating 😣 but I refuse to give up.
  • Just curious about the order of w/o A and w/o B. Week one I did w/o A, B, A. Am I supposed to do B, A, B on week two and then back to A, B, A on week three.
  • @jennimben, :). I feel you on the hot flashes. Mine have decreased quite a bit from when I first hit 50 now I have those chest flutters. Doctor told me nothing to worry about but I did find that bread brings them on.
  • Now I'm really inspired and motivated...if I can just get that $73 bucks. It will happen and I will be here posting when it does. Thanks, @Jennimben for sharing.
  • @jennimben, thanks for posting. I am 5'4" and looking to drop 20 but 10 is a good start. My current weight which seems to have stalled is 150 also. Hoping to purchase soon. 39.9.9.9, that's a good one.
  • I understand. I too try but so hooked on this "getting in your protein" thing, I did find it hard to maintain muscle on a raw food diet. My muscles, I worked to long and hard to get to turn around and lose.
  • Thanks for all the posts on this thread. I was losing motivation but this has helped me gain it back along with determination.
  • @CrosbyMcDowell, " Summer of 2010, I was a raw foodist for about 3 or 4 months. I really just wanted to try it out and see how I felt. I felt AMAZING, had the most ridiculous amount of energy!!!" I also did the raw food thing for about 3 months and you are so right the energy was AMAZING!!!. But you are also right in that…
  • Hello, Ladies and gents if applicable. My name is Darlene and I am a 56 year-old who works out regularly. I have always been active as far a weightlifting goes. I started back in my early 20s as a professional cheerleader and after that continued to dance and began weight lifting. Once those 30s hit and I wasn't as active,…
  • I am planning on purchasing this. Are there any 50-plus year-old women doing this workout?
  • Wish I could give help. I have been on the same plateau for a while an I have lost nothing --well lose 5 gain 6 back. I just want to eat, clean of course, and lose and not worry about counting.
  • Not trying to be snarky, but read your food labels. You are on the right path with MFP so once you start logging your food you will see how much carb and sugar they have. For me, if I make a protein shake with a banana and other fruits, I use half the banana and will pretty much do only protein and salad for dinner. Good…
  • I log my daily food intake and go through spurts of missing. I only read forums or discussions of groups that I have joined and every now and then post. I agree we have reached an age we know what we want, don't want, like, chose to respond or ignore other posts. So although I don't post a lot I do check in from time to…
  • Only down .4 pounds (could be the Golden Margaritas) lol. I'll take it. Did all workouts except Saturday. Did it Sunday. This week: Monday 5x5 B;Tuesday cardio; Wednesday 5x5 A; Thursday Pilate's/abs; Friday 5x5 B; Saturday Cardio/HIIT. No/low carb Tues. Thurs. and Sun. High carb Mon and Sat. Moderate carb Wed and Sat.…
  • Good luck with it. I tried bulking for the first time and I'm still fighting to lose that extra 9 pounds I put on. I did BodyBeast workout and loved it but at 56, bulking is not for me.
  • Just my type, great job.
  • I am back and decided to do/try out the carb cycling. I've tried everything else from Lean Gains 16/8, low carb, low cal. You name it, I've tried it so one more can't hurt. I just started Sunday. My cycle will be: January 18 start Carbcycling. Sunday - Rest/no carb (which really means very low carb about 40grams) Monday -…
  • Count me in. Been a while since I have been on this thread but back doing 5x5 and this 15 week challenge sounds good to me. My goal, loose 15 in 15 so my date would be April 21. It will be good to hold myself accountable by posting here. I have the working out down it's just those darn weekends...wine, bad food. I just get…
  • Thanks for all your feedback. By the way I meant glutes not quads so thanks for correcting me on that.
  • Turbo Jam has been my go-to cardio dvd for years. When short on time and need a good ab, cardio, or whatever when not in the mood for Body Beast, P90X3 or any other of my stash of workout DVDs I can always get a good one from Turbo Jam.
  • Lot's of women doing it. There is also a few fb pages one is called Beastettes.
  • I have it and love it. There is a FB page called Beastettes which is awesome and a FB page...don't know how old you are but it's Body Beast over 40. You will need to eat at a surplus during Phase 1, Build and Phase 2, Bulk but you cut on Phase 3, Beast. I have two more weeks of Phase 2 left, been eating at a surplus, put…
  • Thinking about Chalean Extreme.
  • Will do my best. I just started week 3 today. There is also a "P90X3 For Women" group on Facebook that's pretty active.
  • Thank you for that.
  • Thought about it but I really am not into ordering their supplements.
  • "You keep using this word. I do not believe it means what you think it means" If the shoe fits. :flowerforyou:
  • Nikkinnicole, You just do you. We all try new things at some point, especially in our desperation to shed pounds. So sorry there are so many mean people (bullies) who don't have the heart or patience to be kind to someone asking a question. I've always been told a question never asked is the dumb question, so you did right…
  • Hello Everyone, My name is Darlene, I am a 54 (55 in 2 weeks) ok, 55 year-old female who has always worked out. I just ordered mine yesterday and it should arrive Wednesday. I did order on Amazon because I have their primetime with no shipping costs. I hated forking over $140 so I was not about to give up another 20 bucks…
