Hello! I have PCOS as well. I've found that cutting back on white grains (and opting instead for whole grains) has really made a big difference in my weight loss. Good luck!

I also have PCOS and have struggled with my weight (amongst other things). I've noticed that as my weight's decreased (at one point, I was 220ish- am now 160ish), some of my symptoms aren't as bad.

One of my recent favorites is a fresh salsa, guacamole, and black beans. I either use lettuce (don't laugh! it's good) or chips. I also like veggies covered in marinara sauce and nutritional yeast, or with hummus.

Hello! I've been vegan for a little over four years now- was vegetarian for many years before that. I went vegetarian because for me, I get grossed out by the idea of consuming flesh/muscle tissue. Just the very idea of it is enough to turn my stomach. It doesn't appeal to me. I don't know if it's because I've not eaten it…

I've also had several stints of going gluten-free (for health reasons and I lived with a friend who had Celiac). Try looking at primal or…

If they have a website, you might be able to find the nutritional info there. There might be a "contact" option, which would let you ask. Restaurants, in my experience, get back to you in about a day or so. Good luck! and enjoy!

Congrats! I'm the FIRST on my mom's side in any generation to graduate college, and the first to graduate high school in my generation (second youngest).

I am the child of an abusive addict. Neither of my parents had any higher education. I put myself through college (my mother couldn't afford to help me as she's disabled and my father passed away when I was sixteen). I maintained a B+ average, all while working 30+ hours a week. I want to say that it's definitely hard to…

Someone who eats turkey is called a poultritarian. After going vegan (no fish, no meat, no eggs, no dairy, nada), I lost over 100 lbs because I was paying attention to what I was eating. While I still have 35lbs or so to go, I've never been healthier with a meat-free diet. If going meat-free is something you're interested…

i assume that you guys will be in manhattan, but not sure which neighborhoods. taim is one of my favorite places to eat, if not *the* favorite. it's a little hole in the wall falafel shop run by a married couple- both are gourmet chefs. it's awesome, awesome, awesome. http://taimfalafel.com/
