So, I decided to give myself a cheat day yesterday. I didn't look at the calories at all. I ate what I wanted. Including a burger and fries at 9pm. By 1am I was puking! My body can't handle eating the way I used to. I have been frustrated by the crawl my weight loss has been traveling at, but now I see that there is progress after all!!!

Forget what the scale says....my body is getting healthier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hadn't noticed. I don't get winded going up the stairs. I have more energy. And eating junk food makes me sick! This is all GREAT!I never thought I'd be so happy getting sick before!!!

I've learned my lesson...no more cheat DAYS. I can give myself a few extra calories, once every few weeks, but that is all I need. And I am never eating late at night again!
I am SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it crazy the changes you don't see! I have had this problem many times. One of my favorite things to do is go out for breakfast........ you know the big ol' grease filled breakfasts you get at IHOP or DENNY's. I tried that about 5 months ago and had the worst time after eating that crap.

I still of course have a cheat day, usually once a week. However, i've had to learn which foods I can cheat with and how much my body can handle. No greasy things for me!

My weight loss has also halted to a very slow crawl..... but I realize I am doing weight training three or 4 times a week so I know i'm losing fat and building muscle. I just keep trying to tell myself that!!

    Good luck to you!

so glad you are getting healthier. hope you feel better after getting sick last night! the numbers on the scale will get there. Like you said, you are getting back in shape from the inside. The outside will catch up eventually. Great job! :)

    What is an NSV?
  • What is an NSV?

    A non-scale victory. :]

    And congrats!
  • What is an NSV?

    non scale victory

like a co worker asking i f u lost weight
or fitting into a smaller size
or doing an exercise video without having to stop fo rthe first time

a personal victory, something that makes u feel good or proud of yourself & your journey
that has nothing to do with if the scale says you've gained or lost.

Congrats! The same thing happened to me a few months into this and I have not done it again. Now, I just work whatever treats I want into my day.
