I'm also interested in the name of this program! You're will power is inspiring and you're right, the second week is the hardest!

I pretty much eat the same things I've always eaten....only less of it. I weigh and measure my foods and eat what I've always eaten, but make it fit in my calorie allotment. We had pizza for dinner Friday, grilled chicken wings last night, and lasagna tonight. It's all about making it fit.
-
With your busy schedule I would plan ahead meals. Packs your lunch and snacks the night before....or spend a couple hours one day a week planning for the week ahead.
-
I will! I already do that with my friends who have an open diary. I like it not only for accountability but to get food ideas!
-
Having something to look forward to definitely is a good motivator because that day is coming whether you give up or not!

I'm 5 ft and lost 50lb 2 yrs ago using MFP and now I am back after having 2 babies to do it again!
-
Well unless you have a heart rate monitor you're really estimating calories burned during exercise. MFP calculations won't be exact so you run the risk of over estimating calories burned and then over eating. I wouldn't say totally ignore the exercise but I wouldn't eat them back if you're not hungry. Listen to your body.…

Your body needs a certain amount of calories to just maintain your current weight. You need a deficit to lose weight. Mfp will set your allowance for you with the deficit. I've also seen the calculation of your weight x 10 minus 500 to be close to what MFP suggest.
-
I agree you should be eating at least 1200. As far as your friends loss, what were their starting stats? People who have more to lose will lose quicker at first.
-
I never weigh around when my cycle is about to start or while it's on. I always weigh more at that time. Could that be it for your over night gain?
-
I lost 50lb 2 yrs ago with MFP and then got pregnant, and then pregnant again closely after. I understand not knowing how to get back at it. I was highly dedicated and motivated prior to my pregnancies and struggled for a long time to get it back. I really don't have an answer on how I got it back other than I wanted my…

Also, no need to deprive your self. As long as you're diligent through out the day you can afford a snack. I was craving chocolate ice cream and had just that for my afternoon snack today. I put half a serving of the ice cream (regular ice cream, not diet kind) into a waffle cone. The whole snack was 120cals. The cone (50…

I am very busy also with 3 kids, full time work and school. I work the gym in as many days as possible but life doesn't always make it possible. The one thing I can control is my calorie intake. As long as I stick to my daily limit I will continue to lose, even without getting to the gym everyday. The gym may speed the…

This happens to me every time I try and click a user's name from the forum, my husband's phone also. Anyone have any idea why? It's not my connection, bc the connection issue is only when trying to view a user. It's very frustrating

Hi! I have about 50 to lose also. I lost about 45 two years ago using MFP, and then had 2 more kids! I'm done having kids and want to lose the weight and fit all those clothes I had just bought and never really got to wear when I lost weight last time! You can add me and we can support each other!

I have experienced this as well. Last week at work one of the ladies came up to me and said look at you, you're just wasting away!! I was thinking wow, does she think she is complimenting me? Wasting away sounds to me like I am TO skinny and am starving myself or something. Which is discouraging because I still am about 12…

This is pretty much my exact meal when I go! I think its like 260 cals

I love PB. I was really surprised to find out the calories content as well. I eat the Peter Pan Whipped kind. I used to pile it on THICK! Now, I still have my PB every so often on a slice of toast for breakfast. But instead of piling it on, I use just enough to cover the bread. usually about a teaspoon or two! MMHH! Also,…

It's easier for some to set mini goals! When they reach their mini goals, they are like "YAY, I did it! That gives them the strength and confidence to keep at it.

Dear Professor, I am very upset with you. When I registered for this semester, I scheduled all my classes in the evening and one on Saturday. All of them but your's of course. Yours was only offered MWF from 11-11:50a. or 6:50p on a Monday which conflicts with another class. Luckily I have an awesome employer that promotes…
