This breaks my heart! Fly high little angel. Its a club that i wish didnt exist. I lost my baby boy in 5/24/06, so i can relate somewhat. Its a rough road but give yourself the time you need. Grief still hits me out of the blue and my comfort is also food. But ive realized over time, that i feel better and i dont need to…

I used to think I did, but I realized that this is what your body is used to a "processed quick fix". This is the reason I'm so heavy. I prefer sweet over salty/savory but it's a preference and I realized that eating a simple protein (look at the recipe board, lots of great suggestions) and then I'll have something sweet.…

I've found that my late night snacking was from one of three things: 1. Not enough water. 2. Tired. 3. Bored/stressed. I try and remove myself from my current room. So if I'm watching TV lets say, I'll go upstairs and watch there or I'll go out and play with the dogs a bit, or do a little bit of exercise in the form of…

I get and understand what you're saying. I've been on several different anti-anxiety and anti-depressants over the years. I think you have to realize that the meds really didn't cause weight gain, but there are some that really do make you gain easier. But please talk with your doctor. There are several options available…

Yep!! I suffer from severe post pardum depression. I gained 100lb with my last pregnancy and I spiraled into a really bad place in my life. Faking the smile, crying that you have to get out of bed, eating as the only thing that made me feel "good", guilt BC I hate the way I look and feel, only making me eat more. Trying 10…

I'm a mom of 2 kids (6&2). I work full time and my job requires me to go several different places daily, so food prep is a struggle since I'm in the car so much. I honestly just started exercise again. My kids sleep is pretty non-existent when they were younger, so it was all I could do to make it through my day! My…

Goals! Make goals. Not the "lose 70lb huge goal" but small goals. I have 100 more lbs to go. I've lost 20. I make small goals. The goal I'm working on now is working out 5 days and logging every day. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but this is what works for me. I have 2 kids and it's hard with working…

Hey! Same boat here! I'm turning 40 in March. I lost 56lbs on mfp in 2012. Gained 100lbs with pregnancy #2. Here it is 2015 and I'm still fighting. Still going. Snails pace? Yep. But I fall down and I get back up. It's hard. Add me. You're doing great! I have been in the middle of a career switch so now things have calmed…

Still here fighting the fight. Y'all continue to help me. So many personal struggles going on but doesn't matter. Still going.

Binged, darn it!!! I logged it but it's crazy. Gotta get control of this.

Missy:2 Binge: 0 Days binge free: 3 I haven't missed a day yet logging. Stopped myself from binging. It's hard to put a number on it bc I seem to always be fighting the urge. But I got this.

I just started a vyvanse drug trial. For me, it's been working amazingly well. I never thought I'd go the medication route. Binge eating is so embarrassing and depressing. Then you have the "it's not real" skeptics. But it is real for me. This medication has decreased my urges to binge, increased my focus, increased my…

Is it meals or snacking that's the major problem? For me, it's snacking. A very wise woman from this board said to me once, drink 2 glasses of water bf snacking. Then if you still want that fatty snack, eat something healthier first (apple, raw veggies etc). If you still want that snack.... Stand naked in front of the…

Eat what you want but be sure to give your body what it needs!! I find if I don't just eat a portion of what I'm craving I end up eating much more of other foods. Just make room for it in your diary.

True! Although I found the "know it alls" are often called out by others. It is the internet so I expect that. But again Ive not been active so this is just in my small experience.

Yep I agree, but my point is, is that's NOT what I experienced here at this post. I guess the best way to explain it is using an analogy. You have an infected wound. What you are doing isn't helping the wound but making it worse. You know that cleaning and stitching the wound will really hurt and be a long process so you…

Cancer SURVIVOR!!! If I could jump through the screen I'd hug you (in a non creepy supportive way of course). I am an ovarian cancer survivor. My story is in my profile. Feel free to add me. Again so happy for you. Way to kick cancers *kitten*.

I've been there. Things spiral out of control and it feels like you're swirling down the toilet of life. We'll take a step back, organize and make achievable goals. You can do this, you will do this. I look at this one day at a time and try to make little changes. And most of the above...excellent advice. Best of luck to…

Wow! Thanks for all the responses. Crazy busy at work so I just logged on. Shaking my head at a few but it's the internet. Love ya MFP meanies

Is there a veteran outreach center in your area? They can be very helpful. Good luck.
-
Best of luck to you! My story is in my profile but I've walked this road before too. Y'all got this!!

I totally agree with this! I hated the app and logging points.

I did WW from November-January. I didn't find the meetings helpful and had a hard time getting to them every week. But it was me, excuse after excuse. I know people who WW has worked for. It just wasn't for me.

I think it's confusing bc I don't have a link to my original post. Nutshell..... Me: I'm not losing weight, working out 6 days a week eating healthy MFP: open your diary Me: I don't log consistently MFP: that's your problem Me: no I don't think so MFP: yep, you can work out 60 minutes every day but if you don't have a…

Thank you all. In all honesty, I've been dieting my whole life. Lost 50 lbs using MFP in 2012 and gained it back. I was living in denial. But someone responded to my initial post "you're at a weight now that's heavier you've ever been (including when 9 months pregnant) and you're trying to find internet strangers tell you…

Sadly I don't have a link bc in the midst of my temper tantrum I deleted the post. Thanks for the support. Y'all are the best.
